Re: Ned rig rod
My good friend Ned Kehde and I have batted this one around plenty. Most of my rod insights concerning the rig have appeared on Ned's Midwest Finesse I-F site. To many the "Ned Rig" consists of the cut ZinkerZ or TRD solely. If this is your your case sir that may call for one line of thinking regard...

Re: Rod for a stella 2500 hgs
I have an 872, 852, and a dsr. For me the 852 is too stout for drop shot , but I don't like a whippy fairy wand for it either. I was more interested to see if there were some unnecessarily expensive and audacious jdm offerings out there

Rod for a stella 2500 hgs
I picked up a 2500 hgs stella and am planning to use it for my drop shot/ finesse set up. I am leaning toward pairing it up with a nrx dsr. Are there any other rods I should be considering

Would you say the 765 falls between the nrx 893 and 894 in terms of power?

Re: 2016 megabass destroyer at jpangler
There needs to be a new nautilus Good luck with that one!!! Seriously, that is a great stick. I know I know. I lost 1 fish in a mooring field on a jig with my nautilus. 1. And then decided the rod didn't have enough power to control fish in a situation like that and sold it. I am what you call a mo...

Re: Daiwa SV103
I got the sv 103 and have had a few chances to fish with it. Paired up with a 2015 diablo fast move and 14lbs fluoro it was launching a 1/2 oz chatterbait and a pointer 128. Very solid feel to the reel and very smooth. Nice. Have you thrown anything on the lighter side with it? Can you gauge how st...

Re: 2016 Certate
Would be nice to compare new Certate to new Vanquish. They are completely different animal to me. It's like comparing Metanium to Antares type imo. Agreed, the 13' certate is a refined work horse, to me any way. It is my favorite spinning reel I am looking forward to seeing the '16. I hope the have...

Re: St. Croix Legend Elite 6'10"MLXF spinning
I have the 2016 model you are asking about I have only had a little time fishing it but it has a pretty soft tip. I would say it's on the medium side of medium light but not a full medium if that makes any sense. It's going to make a great drop shot rod
