Re: Uses for Copoly?

I'm not a huge fan of fluorocarbon. I use copolymer for deep cranking , topwater and worm/jig.
Gamma Polyflex is a good one , so is McCoys.
I have a stockpile of Silver Thread AN40 and Silver Thread Super.
Pradco just recently discontinued Silver Thread , so I stocked up from a local tackle shop.

Re: What’s on your Reel’s Foot

3M helicopter tape , it comes in different thicknesses..look on ebay you can find it cheap , just make sure you are getting it from a seller that's not in China , I don't think anything is shipping from there right now.
You could also search , bicycle frame protection tape.

Re: Daiwa Tatula SV TW

On a separate note I did verify that for those like me that are using the Elite Long Cast for froggin' that you will be able to purchase the Elite p&F handle if you prefer the larger handle for power techniques. I will get pricing as soon as its released and post. Mark - we will have those handles ...

Re: Tat Elite vs Zillion SV

I opened up the reel tonight and it was bone dry. I can't believe Daiwa would let a reel leave the factory with no grease on the gears. I added medium ZPI grease to the gears and it's pretty smooth. I would be hard pressed to feel the difference between it and a Steez A if I were blindfolded. Mine ...

Re: Daiwa Tatula SV TW

I'll end up getting one or two. Do you know of the side plate , gear side has the honeycomb design like the previous model ? My old Tat Sv y'all super tuned for me is still the smoothest reel I own, and it's has caught loads of fish , big and small. Glad to hear it is working well for you! You'll h...

Re: Tat Elite vs Zillion SV

The Tatula Elite came in the mail yesterday. First impression is that it feels almost like the Steez A in hand. It doesn’t have the plasticy feel of the 100. The gears feel like they are super dry. I’ll need to crack it open prior to the season and put grease on the gears. I wish someone could conv...

Re: Daiwa Tatula SV TW

The new Tat Sv , has a graphite side plate gear side. No mention of aluminum. https://tackletrap.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=75_823_3041&products_id=15263 That sucks. That's a backwards step from the Tatula Elite reels It's a matter of perspective really. If the new 2020 Tatula SV TW...

Indexing used gear sets during maintenance certainly won't hurt anything.

Re: Tat Elite vs Zillion SV

I have a Elite long cast. I'm getting a couple more ft over the og Tat Sv with the same bait. Nothing earth shattering. Both reels have stock spool bearings flushed and lubed with yellow rocket fuel.

Booyah one knocker and hard knocker in royalty catches fish in just about any body of water I fish.

Re: Sunline Super Natural

Well I fished the super natural two evenings in a row , and was not impressed.Took it off and threw it in garbage. Way more stretch than big game , and it seemed to curl up bad in front of the bait , kind of a weird characteristic. And the sensitivity is not good enough to be worm fishing that's for...

There’s much better mono and copoly available that’s priced the same or better. Defier is great line but the price is a huge negative for a mono
That's what I was thinking , a lot of money for mono. I'm sure it's good stuff though.

I change line often. Probably just spool up this worm rod with Sniper next. Wanted to try this out because it was cheap lol.
