Love my Steez SV, but what's with the tat knobs?

Is everyone else letdown that Daiwa didn't use the hypercork knobs like on the EX ](*,) I love the spool! Love that a Steez is now under $400...but why the tatula knobs :(

Re: Curado I series -What To Do

The best upgrade I've done that affects casting performance immediately is Hedgehog bearings, specifically the BFS bearings, but the next step up for all purpose casting is still very impressive. When I've tried the Orange Seals in the past I've had trouble discerning a noticeable difference.

Re: If you would like to see a new line review comment here

I've been using those as a guide for years, and done a lot of experimenting of my own. I would like to see a list of the top performers tested, and in particular as mentioned above test them over a period of a month or two, with multiple trips to test longevity. And like someone stated above I love ...

Re: McCoy Fluoro and Braid

I haven't tried the braid, but tried McCoy's 100% fluoro about 5 years back and was underwhelmed. As stated the mean green is great stuff though.

Re: NRX vs. 2016 Legend Elite

I've owned most of the higher end offerings. If sensitivity is key it's Loomis hands down! Build quality can be subjective...Loomis had some QC issues early, but seems to have cleaned up their act quite a bit on the NRX. When I'm buying high end I'm paying for sensitivity. Out of what I've tried the...

I am converting from meters to yards - but not sure if "nylon" is same as mono for comparison.

I believe it's the same as USDM Shimano 3000 reels

Re: Twinpower questions

Thinking about a 2500 hgs. The only thing that has me a little worried is the shallow spool I normally use powerpro 6/20 on my spinning outfits but I fish pretty deep - say 20-35 ft most of the time that I use spinning gear. For those who have them do you have any problems with line capacity? Thank...

Re: Jerkbait/Small CB Blank Input Needed

If you're on a budget the spin jig 7' medium power Rainshadow Rx8 did this app perfectly for me. Not the most sensitive but light and feels quality. Another option would be a medium power popping blank from Rainshadow or a Lamiglas medium powered spin jig 7' in their xm700 material. Sorry I can't re...

Re: Seagar Red Label

Many seem to like it, I didnt. I found it didn't last long I had break off issues and the abrasion resistance was no better than typical mono lines. Unfortunately I had the exact experience, so did a few others I fish with. When it comes to fluoro I believe you get what you pay for. I've had good l...

Re: 2016 Daiwa Alphas Air vs. 2016 Alderbran BFX XG

I had one question. I have never used any braid lighter than 20lb test. Are there any benefits to putting lighter line on these two reels, to improve casting distance on 3/16oz lures? I got to compare both reels. The Alderbran is ridiculously smooth on the retrieve and light, but the Alphas Air als...
