Bearings: Caltcutta TE GT vs TE
Bantam, I was wondering if the number of bearings in the Calcutta TE GT (10+1) vs TE (6+1) was simply bearings in the knobs for the TE GT version? If not, where are 4 additional bearings located and what are they used for? I did a search here on TT but nothing was found. Thanks for any info you can ...

Re: Rod Loft Pro
I use the RL Pro when I'm fly fishing in the Sierras, I've had no issues with it and got it on sale. I've been really happy with it, it's real convenient when you consider 5 piece flyrods and not having to disassemble and reassemble them going from place to place.

Re: Calcutta D and TE interchangeability
Agreed on the aesthetics, I would also have liked to have seen a TE or DC thumb bar over the solid black one the D series comes with.

Re: New Online parts order site
I just ordered some parts via phone. Unfortunately, the person I spoke to wasn't sure on some compatibilty questions I had and when she transferred me to a technician, they were busy so I didn't leave a message as I wasn't sure they'd actually return my call.

Re: Calcutta D and TE interchangeability
I almost forgot to ask, what about the cast control knobs between a Calcutta 200DC and a 200TE?
Appreciate any help you can provide.

Calcutta D and TE interchangeability
Bantam,
I was wondering, are the line guides and thumbars interchangeable between the new Calcutta 100 D's and the former TE's or DC's?

Re: A couple new acquisitions...
I threw the Nautilus with a 1/2 oz tungsten Carolina rig today and it casted real nice, on top of that, I could feel the bottom really well. I also threw a 1/8 oz tungsten T-Rigged 6" Senko and was happy with how it performed with that. I will say that it's much more suited for heavier weights compa...

Re: A couple new acquisitions...
Katron,
I plan to try a Carolina rig tomorrow, I'll be throwing a 5/8 tungsten and will provide feedback next week.

Re: A couple new acquisitions...
That's exactly how I ended up with mine. I also picked up a Black Elseil at the same time from Gary. I'll have to take some pics of that one too.

Re: A couple new acquisitions...
Pin, yes, it's a Nautilus. I haven't quite decided what I'm going to target with it, it's alot more sensitive in hand that what I thought it might be so I'm thinking Carolina rigging for sure and maybe even Senkos and Ikas as well. I was pleaseantly surprised when I opened the rod cover and found th...

Re: Ultralight Soft Baits
Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in for what I use for my 'go to' UL baits. When the bite gets tough, which is quite often here in SoCal, I regularly go to a Fluttercraft worm in Cinnamon or Chocolate Brownie to round out a limit. I also have thrown the Fluttercraft Screamers with somewhat of a suc...

Touché!
Got it, so the others have their specs incorrect. In any case, I prefer the 8-20 rating.

Re: Megabass Rod Rating?
Gary, what are the differences in these two:
F4.5 = Megabass Medium Heavy
F5 = Medium Heavy
I also noticed that on Tackletrap the Black Elseil is has a line capacity of 8-20lb where most everywhere else it's 10-25lb. Is that an oversight?
