Diameter wise, it is thinner but I like it because I don't have massive hands. Paring it up with the right rod depends on what lure and techniques are you going to use it for. Decided to pull the trigger on the 200$ T3, came in today, nice reel, the first thing I did was take the 95mm CF handle off my Lews SS just to see. Fits just fine. Spooled up, 1/2oz casting plug...holy cow,across the room with a very light toss. Very impressed. Will the 6.3 pull a Deep Diver?

FYI on Hawg Tech handles,the stock Abu knobs and bearings will not fit.
You can only use Hawg Tech cork or Shimano Septon.

I have a Gen2 Abu Winch and a Gen3 Abu Winch,took them both down to the pond,had no issue with the gearbox on the gen3,
switched back and forth,the only thing I did notice was my index finger sits under the the gen3 gearbox. I like the wieght reduction on the gen3.
