Re: Very mad, killed a Bass

Haven't killed any this year, but last year was really bad... I had about a half a dozen die. No particular reason, just hooked in the throat. Not to far, but evidently far enough.

Re: What's with the fishing gloves?

=)))) =)))) I can only picture what would happen if someone decided to wear fishing gloves to lip their fish at my club. Texans have a extremely low pansy-tolerance level.

Re: New color

 Already have had great success with it. Biggest so far is close to 8, with more fives and sixes than I can count. I love it! FB, that is a BTR Custom Lures Grass Rake. I developed a method for molding the weedguards into the jig head, but I am still able to powder paint the heads. I am the...

New color

I have officially finished the testing period for my new color, Bull Bream. This was taken before I finished all of my colors. It actually has some translucent fish belly colors mixed in on the underside. Complete with Owner hook. This is a personal model. Take a look! http://www.myfishingpictures.c...

Where are the jackpots held? I have won some pretty big titles in that area. What lakes are closed?

Re: Tubing at the Local Pond (Est. 6.14lbs)

Big and shiny!! I was fishing a while back in February. It was really slow, and I only had one strike all day on a jig. I thought I was snagged on the brush pile I was fishing in 23' of water. I jerked up to try and pop it loose when "big and shiny" came out of the brush. She weighed 6.

Finesse jigs, finesse crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and topwaters. Great rod IMHO.

Re: Saw literally thousands of fish but only got a single bi

A Minus-1 crankbait in a shad pattern if they were sand bass. I have also used a Sammy 65 for matching the hatch.

Re: 3:16 Wake Jr topwater review!

...if I want to use my Pixillas for every-damn thing, I will!  I am somewhat the same with my reels. My idea of a "finesse" rig consists of a BCR854, a Chronarch 100B, spooled with 17 pound fluorocarbon (note the use of invisible line. It marks a stealthy, finesse-like approach) tied to ...

Re: Gloomis MBR783 6.5 GLX or MBR843 7 Foot GLX

For big jerkbaits and topwaters like your 100s, 128s, and Sammy 115s the 783 works great. I even use if for some light spinnerbaits around tight quarters. Good choice.

Re: so many new Loomis rods for sale - why?

Look, I don't have anything against JDM rods with crappy warranty's. I like my Loomis rods, and I don't mind spending $300 on rods that I can have a full tournament load of. I am a junior in high school, and became brand loyal to Loomis a year or two ago. I worked hard for my equipment, which is top...

Re: G.Loomis 7 1/2' crankbait rod. opinions/1st handexperien

If you plan on throwing DD22s with it go to a 906 instead of that 903. If you are going to throw Deep Little N's, Traps, or other medium divers you will LOVE it!!!!!!!!!! G.Loomis crankin sticks are AWESOME!!!!! I personally do not care what anyone else's opinion on their cranking sticks is, they ar...
