Re: Jdm dropshot rod
Unfortunatly ^^^^^ the hedgehog is sold out. Here is another option. https://tackletrap.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=8353 The Japanese fishermen generally purchase and use a shorter rods rated UL or L for dropshot fishing, 3-5lb line. 6-6.5 ft. rods. If you get one of these don't...

Re: What’s a decent 2 piece rod?
If you dad is a Shimano guy (or doesn't care) I think the Poison Adrena mentioned above is a good choice. They make a 7'2 heavy with a fast tip and the rod is very light. These can be had for around $400 including shipping (maybe cheaper). If your dad is a Shimano guy and you want to be the best son...

Re: Jdm dropshot rod
Do you want American JDM or JDM JDM? There is a difference. Most people will suggest something from the Destroyer or XX lineup, designed for the American market and those are great rods. How JDM do you want to go? Spinning or Baitcast? How much do you want to spend? What length rod are you comfortab...

Re: Top shelf spinning reel
Just wondering how you ended up liking the reel trying to get some information on the 3012 size? I was going to throw small jigs and heavier shakey heads with my Steez AGS 7 foot medium. I just want a really nice high end reel for it and I want to stick with Daiwa. I would appreciate any response, ...

St. Croix (big name in Canada eh) has a 7ft.1 MH 2 peice casting rod in the Mojo series. It's a moderatly priced rod at $140 and can be had from many major outlets and seems to have good reviews.
If you want to spend some coin, I have some suggestions for that as well.

Double Dutch-Punch Drunk-Panty Danker
...and that's just 1 rod name. Wondering if anyone has any familiarity with this brand? Geecrack. I was just ordering a couple Squarebills of theirs (because they looked pretty dank) and decided to look up the brand. One heck of a rod lineup and sweet lures to boot. How could you go wrong with names...

Steez A and Megabass IS Bearing Size
Does anyone know spool and sideplate bearing size for these 2 reels.
I believe they are both 1150 and 1030, but wanted to make sure.

Re: Megabass Monoblock Grigio Stone - first impressions
MB has a Monoblock HC spool. Don't ask me why, but they are $280. Looks just like a regular MB HC spool that can be had for the bargin price of $180. https://www.eastackle.com/p-8519-megabass-carrozzeria-custom-monoblock-honey-comb-finesse-bait-casting-spool.aspx These are 34mm, what is different di...

Re: What's REALLY next for Daiwa
They show the guy holding a sideplate at 1:10. It is some kind of new model sideplate, the dial is all the way at the bottom of it and the sideplate frame is molded around it, it also has a squared of point on it. Looks nothing like anything in production now. They did announce a new Steez rod on th...

Re: Best Japanese 8 strand or better braid.
I was going to post this in my Mail Call Thread a while back, but I was emberrased because of the amount of money I spent on a particular braid in this picture and I wanted some time to test out both of these lines. Although you are looking for a specific PE size and and a particular applicaiton, I ...

Daiwa KTF Versitile Finesse Spool
So a new batch of these spools were supposed to be available early December via Karil's. I emailed them in November to check status, I checked thier website about every other day to see if they were available, always said the same thing under the product "not available until December". Today I check...

Re: the "if you could only buy one BFS rod"
This past year I have been using a variety of Varivas PE lines. Frequenting thier webpage, I saw this rod become available a few months a go. The baitcast version, although targeted for bass fishing, looks suitable for any type of BFS fishing. Rated for zero to 7/16oz I'm thinking my IS79 with a MB ...
