Re: Compact Baitcasting Reels
If you want to stay in the same price range as your tatula sv, the newer version is quite a bit smaller in hand as is the curado 70. If you want to go up in range, the bantam, new zillion, and metanium are really nice reels that are smaller framed.

Dobyns Sierra 683 is a little shorter but is a good option in my opinion.

Re: Newer Daiwa knob design is garbage!
The smaller ones I can't stand, my fingers always feel like they are slipping off when reeling. The bigger ones are ok and I kind of like them after getting used to them. If they were 1mm or so thicker I think they would be perfect.

Re: Megabass X-Nanahan+1 Jerkbait
It's a sweet bait. Picked up a regular and a +1 and its essentially a 110 mini. From my observation it has the same action just a lot smaller and looks just like a scaled down version of the 110 and jr. Super easy to work as well. Thinking it might be a great bait for stocker trout too.

Can always go JDM? They seem to have something for every scenario. In your example, the EG Impala sounds like what you might be looking for.

I like throwing the 6" weightless t-rigged around grass and the 4 & 5" are pretty deadly on a jika rig

Re: 2020 JDM Metanium Owners: Spool tension question
I've noticed on mine that I have to use more effort to move the spool to feel the side to side play. It's more subtle maybe because of the spring but can feel it when the tensioner is loose enough.

Re: Evergreen International Dire Wolf Wild 7
If I am reading things right, there will be both a 7' and 7'4" version of this rod, the longer version featuring a longer grip. Seriously thinking about getting one upon release Just ckecked out the Imakatsu IG and you are right, looks like there is going to be a 7'4" "Giant Deere Wolf" rod too for...

Re: Evergreen SFX Cougar Elite 7GT
I don't have the GT but I did pick up the RS version a couple of months ago based on the rod's description as a power baitfinesse/universal smallish hardbait rod. I have only had the chance to fish this once for a couple of hours however I will try my best to describe it based on that. For starters,...

Re: Evergreen International Dire Wolf Wild 7
I was wondering that too. Last year on EG's site it showed release date was December alongside the new Cobra but now it seems to have disappeared. Was looking forward to see what this rod was about.

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000
Were the scratches on the top/hood of the reel? To me it feels like that piece is some sort of graphite because that part is warm and doesn't feel like metal when I grip the reel which could explain why it gouges easily?

Re: Zpi Zelos
I think the reel is the same and these are upgrade parts (spool, drag star) branded Zelos for the reel? The reels still have the Alcance name on them
