Re: Buying a New Bass Boat
Rebuild not going to plan? Oh no. We are good on this end as far as the rebuild I’ve had some broken bolts but the dremel and lubricant has helped I was just looking at some boats for ideas and also my neighbor is looking to buy It seems like Phoenix has surpassed Ranger around here (Wisconsin) for...

Re: All things considered
Shimano agreed and is taking care of it. The rod was light and balanced for a 7'7 heavy power.Thunderblack1984 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 10:16 amHobey, sounds like the rod you received had a issue from manufacturing or shipping. Orochi line is great too. Fished a few of those as well.

Re: All things considered
I have/had one Expride. It was the 7'7 Heavy and I picked it up for A Rigs and Magdrafts. First fish with it and I broke 3" off the tip on the hookset. I sent it to Shimano in May and I'm still waiting on the replacement.

Re: Best rod to pair with Steez CT ?
I have mine paired up with a GLX 842c and it's incredible. I use it for 1/16 and 1/8 oz jigs, and small topwaters like Ricos. Are you talking about the newer glx 842? I love the taper for poppers and jerkbaits but i hate how long the handle is for them. Yes. The longer handle length doesn't bother ...

Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
St Croix craftsmanship is way down too. I heard recently that they have been calling custom rod makers and trying to get them to do rod repairs. The build quality on the 872 I purchased is better than the 5 OG NRXs I have or had at one point. Is it a Megabass build quality? No, but I’m buying these ...

Re: Nrx+ 872 vs steez 76mml
I have both and I will go against the grain here. I will vote for the NRX. If you’re fishing smaller rivers, I think you’d prefer the shorter rod. 7’6 rods feel cumbersome to me if I’m not fishing offshore.

My wife and I have a new baby and family lake houses that require 5 hour drives. If you know anything about traveling with babies, then you know they require a ton of stuff. It fills up my 4Runner pretty quick and I’m not able to bring a dozen rods like I used to. That’s where this rod fits in. I ca...

I can’t comment on the old 7m spinner But I love the new one. It’s an outstanding spinning rod. One of my favorite spinning rods to date. So much so my second one shows up tomorrow:) As popular as the 76 is from the orginal I like this rod over it Fits me and what I like to fish better but I use it...

Big Bite Baits Smallie Smasher in chartreuse pearl. Cheap, right profile/size, and bright so you can see it in the water.

Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
I put a 3000 Certate LT on the 872 and it balances great. It has a lot more tip than the original 852 that I'm offloading to help pay for it.

I pulled the trigger on a 872 after hearing all the sponsored Shimano/Loomis guys tell me in person that it’s their go to. I have a 3000 Certate that is going on it.

I'm surprised they didn't get rid of the Recoils. Those guides and the reel seat are the two biggest complaints that NRX rods have.

Does anyone know what the hex screw size is? The one labeled 2.5 on this hex set, lol https://i.ibb.co/6vWcSS4/431-C4-A7-A-56-F6-43-F5-8-DC6-A488-E6648-CCB.jpg Thanks. I ordered a t handle version. I have a couple of those sets, but find them to be a pain to use compared to a t handle one.

Re: Anyone make short glass UL casting rods?
So I've got to admit I got a super hard on for one of Anglo's glass stream rods after seeing that casting video post here. Guy is using a 4'11 3 piece glass casting rod rated for 1-5g to throw minnow plugs in tight mountain streams. I think you mean Enjoy Fishing Channel's Fisherman (Saito?): https...
