Great find! What will you pair up with it?
Nothing fancy … have a 7.3:1 Revo X ready to go. It will get spooled with Sufix Performance braid.

Still a sweet combo!

Re: Best dropshot rod for 1/2-5/8 ounce weights in deep, clear water

Casting: NRX+ 893 JWR I have the NRX version and it’s unbelievable so the + would be even better based on feedback I’ve heard. The + feels amazing in hand when I’ve played around with them. I’ve used mine for 1/2oz. and 5/8oz. cylinder drop shot weights (and lighter) but only on Lake St. Clair and t...

Re: St. Croix LTB spinning 7’10” MMF

I have not fished this model but did pick up a 6'-10" and 7'-1". These are a big improvement on past models. Great handles too! That’s good to hear! I have several of the previous gen models - spinning and casting - and do like the feel. Very interested in this specific model because the specs seem...

Re: Choose a rod brand

I agree with everyone saying it’s a hard choice! I have Shimano, G. Loomis, Jackall, St. Croix, Daiwa, Megabass, Abu Garcia and Fenwick rods in my lineup. Picking Shimano covers a bunch of brands and types of rods. I think if I had to choose just one rod brand from all the above-mentioned ones it wo...

St. Croix LTB spinning 7’10” MMF

The swimming baits model… does anybody own this or have experience with it?

Is it similar to the victory model?

What do you use it for?

Any feedback?

Thanks for any input!

I had this rod. It doesn't grab Daiwa reels snugly, so it went bye-bye. Super-nice rod, though. It felt like a M+ in hand, but behaves like a true medium under load.
I’m excited to put it to work!

(Un)Luckily, I only have one Daiwa baitcaster! ;)

Re: Poison Adrena 6’10” M

I think it's a great, multi purpose and very versatile rod. Lighter bottom contact and moving baits work well with it imo. The taper is great if you are looking for one rod to beat the shoreline with. Daiwa reels are not a perfect fit, but I find them to secure to the reel seat just fine. My only c...

Re: Poison Adrena 6’10” M

Looking for a medium power casting rod since I currently don’t have one! If you have the rod, what do you use it for? Will pair it with a Chronarch 50Mg \:D/ What are the intended applications? I fish with nothing but Daiwa reels and have never had a problem on any of the Shimano Poison Adrena rods...

Re: NRX users…what’s your top three (or four) rods in the lineup?

#1) 893c JWR - if I can only bring one casting rod, this is it. - senkos, jerk shads (super flukes, d shads) with a 1/16oz. weight or a couple split shot 6-10” in front, spinnerbaits (3/8-1/2oz.), cranks and jerkbaits, topwaters, chatterbaits (that’s what I have tied on it now), 4” swimbaits with 1/...

Mepps Bronze Slammer

Anybody using these? What setup? Spinning or casting?

I can’t seem to find much info on them - only a couple videos on YouTube about them - one of fishing and the other of how it’s made.

I like the colour options and would love to get a few
