Re: Netbait plastics

love the t-mac, super t-mac and c-mac. Their finesse worm is good, but a little too big in my opinion at 5". I wish it was 4". Do not like the salt lick, I think it's too heavy and falls too fast, especially in rivers. I've tried the 4" and 5" up against Senko's and Dinger's in the same color, and t...

Re: Best Frog You Have Fished With

Kermit. He and I fished a tournament 2 years ago and he pulled out a couple of 5lber's at the end of the day to save our team.

Close second was the middle frog from the Bud-wei-ser commercials. But he made too much noise and kept scaring the fish.

That is all.

Re: fall rate of Senko 4"

Thanks. Any idea what the fall rate is of an unhooked 4" senko? I've fished this reservoir before and the smallies prefer the 4" size.

I hate drop shotting. I'd rather watch paint dry.

fall rate of Senko 4"

Does anyone know the approximate fall rate of 4" senko's? Not how much they weigh, but how many feet per second. I don't have any handy or else I would test it out. Any info would be appreciated. Fishing a deeper clear water reservoir in a couple of weeks and trying to get a sense of tackle to take....

Re: Thick 10" Worms

Big Bite Baits Kriet Tail Worm, comes in regular and bio-bait (gulp like substance/biodegradable material) version. I have both and like regular version better. It's a senko like body with a long tail. Comes in 10" length and it's a big fish lure.

Re: floating worms

Try the Creme Scoundrel worms. I picked up a pack because they were on sale and I couldn't get the thing to sink on a weightless rig. comes in 4 and 6" size and they're cheap.

I voted for Netbait before and still do, but I have to add Big Bite Baits as a second choice.

Re: Any tricks to taking out minor surface scratches?

as soon as I've bought rods, I've been putting a coating of Klasse AIO, an automotive acrylic glaze, on the rod and guides. Basically, everywhere other than the cork or foam handles. Protects it from UV rays, scratches and it also makes the guides slicker so you can get longer casts. Well worth the ...

I took a look at those and the prices are the same as on other reputable dealers. Wasn't too impressed, especially since they're previously used.

Re: Matzuo Lures?

They're a decent cheaper lure. I sometimes pick them up at Dick's when they have the 2 for 3 or 4 dollar deals. If they're regular priced, I would rather buy lures from Bomber, Mann's or Smithwick. Slightly better quality and look overall. The Matzuo's try to make themselves look like fancy japanese...

Re: Rods similar to Abu Garcia M-H rating

I picked up a Team Daiwa T MH spinning rod and love it. Fish for pike and musky and throw lures in the 3/8 to 3/4 range and it handles very nicely. Picked it up at TW in the sale section, but it runs $70 or so regular priced. Nice responsiveness, light as heck and looks good to boot. I think it's a ...
