I have never come across an IMX or GL3 for 150 bucks or less. And yes, I agree the Recon is a nice stick, but I was hoping to keep this thread at 150 or less. If I was going to spend more I would buy a Dobyns Champion series before any Loomis rod besides the NRX.

IMHO the best spinning reel available RIGHT NOW is the Daiwa Fuego. You can get one on sale at Tacklewarehouse for 126 bucks. This is an amazing deal. I have a size 2000, and I love it.
