Re: HELP 13 omen vs Dobyns Coalition
i had a 7' medium omen a while back and in my hands it felt more sensitive than my savvy series. i know it is not the coalition but thats they closest i could compare. they definitely fish good for a 100.00 rod i will have to say

Re: Which reel is the best???
yeah i would get the chronarch ci4. I had a lot of d7s and like your fiance i was very fond of them lol but i am really liking the ci4 the more i use it. it does cast better than the d7 and the ci4 is pretty saltwater friendly as well.

Re: s-glass jerkbait rods
i know what you mean man i went through this ordeal trying a ton of rods for jerkbaits. My first rod i threw jerkbaits on was a crucial 6'8 med xfast tip more for light jigs and worms, but i found it to work the jerkbait extremely well. I was throwing mostly husky jerks at this time. I caught tons o...
Re: Curado I

Re: Has anyone thrown the 13 envy Crankenstein?
Not thrown the 13 fishing rood for cranks but have used the dobyns champion rm 805 and it is a great composite crank bait rod for the deep divers. The 764 rm is a great cranking stick as well for most normal cranks that don't dive super deep or weigh less than 3/4 oz. if you want something shorter t...

Re: Nrx vs Glx
yeah i agree with the top posters i used to get a lower end rod for saving money purposes and in the end i thought i was missing something or another. I owned the glx 854 last year and it was a great rod for sure but i definitely like my nrx 854 better. I would save and get the nrx you will enjoy it...

Re: Any new info on the new Loomis IMX?
in my bassmaster mag that came today it had an add for them had the specs as listed above in the thread about being 15% lighter and all, but at the bottom it said jwr, spinnerbait, jerkbait, ect.. it left me confused if that was just a loomis ad for the other rods, or are they going to have tech spe...

Re: New member - Nrx 852
i have not had my 852 long just a month or so but have caught quite a few fish already and have found it to be a very versatile spinning rod. i mainly throw smaller jigs especially hair jigs on this rod. I have also found it to be a great swing impact rod like you have mentioned i have been using 3/...

Re: which champ extreme next?
you have two solid rods in the lineup which will serve you well for what you have listed i had three 745s i used them for picching jigs and plastics, football jigs, and small swimbaits, and i started to use one for frogs quite a bit which it worked well for. the 745 is a great jig rod though in the ...

Re: What's your favorite NRX and why ?
1. 853cjwr would be my favorite at the moment i have used it the longest. I throw a ton of smaller jigs and that rod just handles them so well. especially the smaller 5/16 eakins jigs. 2. 852s jwr just got this one not to long ago but really like it. it is a really versatile spinning rod ive used it...

Re: Metanium XG
ive really enjoyed mine i put it on a nrx 853 and couldn't be more happy. i had been running core 50s on my nrx med hvy lower power rods and decided to get the met. It is a solid performer to say the least. casting distance is very good and the retrieve is very smooth, especially when you have a fis...

Re: spinnerbait/swimbait rod
champ 734 definitely fits the bill for your baits youve listed. i used mine for buzzbaits, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, and small swimbaits such as the skinny dipper and swing impacts. its a very versatile rod for sure.
