I think if you read the info about the new rods they actually talk about durability. It sounds like they are starting to listen to their customers and the faint words of warning in the distance from Boyd Duckett. Look at his rods they are getting more popular by the minute around my neck of the woods.

Daiwa is the Ferrari or Aston Martin of reels. They will always be higher and have shown no signs of changing. I for one wish I could afford all of the new reels but for now I will focus on one at a time. I appreciate the quality of product they put out and will continue to pay a little more for it.

My question with the EXO is comfort. Maybe I have sissy hands but with all those edges and grooves, it appears that it would be uncomfortable to fish with all day long. Looks cool though and congrats to Quantum for thinking outside the box.

I am in the market for a good 3/8-1/2oz spinnerbait combo right now it is my Daiwa Pro-Z rod paired with a Cabela's Prodigy 2011 model. Definitely my worst reel considering my next worst is a Viento or TD-X 103HSDF. Not a huge fan of the rod either the more I fish with it.
