Re: All new steez sv tw
At this price point what they should have is a carbon handle. How is it that some alphas air stream, px68 or the alphas type r had a carbon handle, but not Daiwa's flagship that approach 1k usd? This applies to shimano as well, but that company has been using nothing but ugly handles made out of met...

Re: Do you still use Boca Bearings inside your reels?
These ones I find extremely good, silent compared to others I've bought. I tested every one for the last 4 batches and not one dud... I use these ceramic hybrids on all my internal bearings inside a steez. Did the whole 2023 with them, and its beed excellent, and i've never had a reel that feels th...

Re: All new steez sv tw
the steez ex had a magnesium side plate? that is not something i knew, and its a shame they're not magnesium on Daiwa's flagship reel. And i don't even care if it makes no difference in rigidity, and the fact that it'll add a couple of grams, i just want it, its what flagship should be from both com...

Re: 21 Zillion TW - larger capacity spool suggestions?
I got rid of my sv boost spool inside the zillion since i got the reel in 21. Large capacity spools i've been using on this reel is the rcs1016 from the t3, the magz spool with the tapered inductor from the megabass orochi cover hacking and a couple of the zpi rc-001 spools. All performing perfectly...

Re: Major Craft Issue
I kinda knew this would happen when they released those cheapo looking rods for the US market. Its like ZPI releasing those garbage reels, chinese hooks and some trash glasses, trying to find a niche in the US.

Re: 2024 Metanium DC
Is the palming side plate still made out of magnesium, or is it plastic? If its plastic, i kinda get why its so light for a DC reel.

Re: 22 Zillion TW HD
I feel like their duralumin gears have only began at being smooth and long lasting with the release of the steez tw in 2016. Prior to it, no reels (with aluminum gears) that i've tried felt as buttery smooth as something like a metanium or an ateres, but now, its easily matching, and in the case of ...

Re: 2024 Releases/Rumors
Why did it took them almost half a decade to add dc brakes into a 2020 reel? Its not like they had to build a brand new frame and a digital braking system. Usually frame and especially side plate of a DC reel is bigger and wider than the non DC counterpart bc that dc unit sticks out quite a bit. Th...

Re: Ryoga 1016H (Black) gear set
the z2020 limited has 7.2 digigears, but i don't know if its fitting the ryoga. Nope, not a chance. The Z2020 and Z200 gears a quite a bit larger than the Ryoga 1016 gears and even larger than the Ryoga 2020 gears. Ryoga 2020 has the smallest gears? Now that's interesting. No I read it as the 1016 ...

Re: DRT rods, tho
The same could be said for their swimbaits. I had a couple variations and never caught a single fish on either of them. On the upside, I was able to sell them for a profit. Their products are legit not hype, dedicate a whole season/year to fishing the TK and learn to fish it. Bruh... On another not...
