Re: Your Next Reel Purchase?

Certate 2004CH is my next reel I think. Same size as a 1003 but with a slightly larger spool and a faster gear ratio for fishing streams.

Have a short trout rod on order to go with it too!

Re: Panfish and trout reel pairing

The jdm Luvias is a great reel I have a 2000 sized one. I wasn't truly happy with mine though until I added a hedgehog bearing tune kit. This added an additional 6 bearings and brought the reel up the smoothness and feel I was expecting for a ~$255 JDM spinning reel. That of course added $45 to the...

Re: Daiwa Samurai Braid

I have had 0 problems with the 55 and 70 pound lines. They're amazing. I did try the 15 on a PX68 and got rid of it after 2 trips. The line kept snapping off on me.

Re: Panfish and trout reel pairing

Luvias 1003 is under $250 at digitaka. The shallow spool makes it better than any 1000 size reel they sell here.

It would be interesting to see baits sold with no rings or hooks.

One issue I have is that I wish someone would make UL baits with barbless single hooks.

Avid user for about 5 years. I like the one piece fast action just a little bit better though.

Re: Major Craft rods coming to USDM?

I had a Major Craft for a while. Great rod for the money. I would love to see them in the states without the expensive shipping prices attached to them!

Re: Koppers changes the game

Cool idea but I don't think it's original.

I can't find a picture of it at the moment but I saw a Mother painted to look like two bass :)

Re: Jackall Mickey

Right now, with your favorite color and size preference :D

Jackall makes top notch baits. I have caught some fish on the Jr in Bluegill. I have the regular size in chartruese shad but haven't fished it during a good time. I haven't fished the Sr but bigger is sometimes better on that style of bait.

Re: Skipping: Baseline advice

I've successfully skipped with my lightest baitcaster (SPR with 5lb Fluoro and an UL Volkey) all the way to the MH stuff (Curados and Zillions with Dobyns 703). I've also skipped a 6" Hudd with a Lexa 300 and Dobyns 795ML a few times in open water just to see if I could. Generally baits with some so...

Maybe you should post info on the other releases today before another shop beats you to it :D
