Re: Tennessee grip question
Being from East Tennessee originally. That handle was extremely popular. Loved them and I just taped the reels on. Removed the split rings for the reason that it made the handle cold when we fished in the winter for smallmouth or walleye. That tape on cork was much warmer. Still have a couple rods b...

Thanks Cal. Have sent them message 2 days ago. Waiting on response, thought if anyone had a phone number might get to them a little quicker.

Re: balancing rods
I just take a lead worm weight and pound it flat with a hammer on the garage floor. Trim it to fit in the chair leg cap. you can add or subtract lead depending on the reel you use on the rod. I switch reels often so this works for me. have found it particularly helpful on my flipping/pitching sticks...

Loomis SBR864.
Other than it's intended use for big spinnerbaits what are you folks using it for ? Looking to get more use from my 864 so interested in what others have tried and what their experience has been. Was thinking squarebills, big chatterbaits maybe even paddletails on 1/2 or 3/4oz head. Topwater ?
Re: Dx701s
I totally agree with Vinnie; my 702 is amazing but when fishing deeper waters and you need that extra power the 742 is it. I like the 701 for very light line less than 6 lb and little baits on DS with 1/8 wgt.

Loomis 852S
Okay need your input. I am in the market for an 852s. Plan to use it with a Sustain 3000fg 20lb braid and flouro leader. Drop shot, weightless plastics and shakey head; and maybe even small hair jigs. I have been partial to the older Loomis GLX with recoils so have been looking for one in the BSR 85...

Re: Opinions DX792SF
dtacker thanks for the reply. Right now I am yet undecided on the 792. I had opportunity to buy one basically new for $200, which is a killer price and from an individual who takes care of his stuff. Just wanted to know if anyone had fished it and how it compared to the 742. Still looking for respon...
