Re: New St. Croix Bass Rod
I got the teaser too. Hopefully more sensitive and less tip heavy than the Legend Tournament series. St Croix might actually get some of my money... looking forward to holding one in my local Cabela's which are massive St Croix shops.

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000
Well I'll be waiting 'til May to use it, but I decided to preorder a USDM version as my first Daiwa reel (and also my first purchase from TTT). It looks too good and the reports are too good to resist! After finishing the copycat site review I said what the hell and pulled the trigger. I look forwar...

Re: 2020 Zodias
That's a little concerning. I sent in a 6'8ML spinning for warranty and they approved it but the rod is on backorder. It was one of my favorite rods because of how whippy it was, so fun for light baits. If the new rod is stiff I'm gonna be absolutely gutted.

Re: senko rod revisited: Spinning or Casting
I use a casting 6'9MHXF Helium3 (roughly a 3.5-4 power IMO) for both weightless and weighted 5" Senkos, though I very rarely use weights. I can throw and work them just fine on my 6'8LMHF Helium3 as well but the MH is just what I have rigged up for it most of the time. As for line, I've used 40lb br...

Re: Kistler rods?
I got my 7'ML Helium as a replacement for the 7'M that was basically identical to my 6'8LMH. The ML is more appropriately light but is closer to what I expected for the M, which is ultimately a good thing because that's what I was going for. It still looks a little stiff with a 1/6oz Ned head only s...

Re: Kistler rods?
My opinion on this mirrors what others have said. Their rod ratings changed too much for me to be consistent and build my rod aresnal on them. While i like the blank and the guides (for the helium and above line) i do think that they could use a bit more empasize on the visual side. The cork even o...

Re: Your most versatile rod?
Spinning: 6'8" LMHF Helium3 (2019) Casting: 6'9" MHXF Helium3 (2019) I do have other rods, but my Helium3s just do everything well. They won't do frogging very well even in open water due to big hooks and small backbones (compared to the 7'3XH I normally use), and they won't throw small stream trout...

Re: Kistler rods?
I do not like they way Kistler runs his company. I had some, but got rid of all of them. The $50 per rod increase was too much. Is the price increase the only thing you had a problem with? I wouldn't buy their rods at full price but thankfully they do sales so often that you almost never have to. I...

Re: Kistler rods?
Kistler is exchanging the rod with a 7'ML for me without a fuss which is nice. Awesome customer service and awesome rods - hard to be too upset, even with the guessing game you have to play. I've got 4 months until I can use it so it'll be a while before I can test it, but I do know of a river spot ...

Re: Kistler rods?
I just got my 7'M Helium spinning rod from them which they had for a great price on a 2020 "closeout(?)" sale. I have a 6'8LMH and I was looking for something lighter for whipping around small 1/8oz jigs/spinners/spoons. I decided to go with the M instead of the ML because I figured a 7'M should be ...

Re: medium vs medium light heavy kistler helium 3, or other option?
The Light Medium Heavy is the way to go - the tip is still pretty light and you can chuck small stuff down to 1/8 and up to 1/2oz (though 1/2 is about the heaviest I'd want to go). I have thrown 3/4oz poppers on my LMH spinning rod and it works but it's not ideal. Honestly I feel like the Zbone is ...

Re: Jackall Rerange 110MR (a deep Rerange!?)
Could be cool, but the TW page says it only dive to 6-8 feet? That's shallower than a StaySee 90 or 110+1. I think the regular 110 hits 6 feet without too much trouble but yeah, it would have been nicer to see 7-10ft as the depth range. I forgot to pick up a couple StaySee 90s but I just can't brin...

Jackall Rerange 110MR (a deep Rerange!?)
Did anyone see these? I just found out about them in a TB tackle vid and had to order a few. This spring I was wishing my Reranges went just a little deeper to get closer to some beds in 6-10ft of water. My prayers have been answered!! Absolutely cannot wait to throw these puppies!
