I had a GLX 803S but I wouldn't classify it as an all around rod. Too many lures and techniques nowadays

For the lures you mention I think John hit it on the head. Other than the 783, I'd look at the 802 but it would not be good for cranks. The tip would be too fast. I used the 802 for spinnerbaits and it was really nice.

MSRP on the Curado was 179 so this should land 30 bucks or so cheaper than the Curado street price. I'm thinking it's going to be a really nice reel right around 100 bucks. Here's hoping the savings was done by heading back to the old school braking system! But the Curado has been on sale for $139.99
