Re: NRX hype - love and hate ?'s
I recently purchased an NRX 853C, and I have to tell you that it came with a great deal of buyers remorse...... That was until I actually had the opportunity to fish it. The reports you read about sensitivity and what a pleasure these rods are to fish are not product hype. I have fished a large numb...

Re: Revo SX troubleshooting
Make sure the pinion in engaging the pin on the spool shaft. Sometimes the pinion becomes damaged and it does not allow the notches cut in the pinion gear to engage the pin in the spool shaft.
Just a guess, could be a number of things.

The Jackall Iobee frog is very good. I walks as easy as any out there, the hookups are good and the material is nice and soft.

Re: when do you and when you don't peg a bullet weight
Just wondering when its best to peg a weight and when its best not to. To be more specific, went pitching in weeds is it better to peg the weight? Does pegging the weight help get the bait through? I guess I could just try but I won't be able to get out for a bit and I like to have my gear prepared...

I believe it is the handle off of the newer Pflueger Patriarch.

Re: Jig Rig (jika rig)
The weights are poured by a local for me with a crane swivel, I do the powder coating on them. I have tried several variations of this rig, and I can honestly say that they all fish very similar. My favorites are still in the heavier weights 3/8 and 1/2 oz.

Re: The Re-REVOlution Begins, First Look at the 2013 Revo
Besides, the BPS Carbonlite is the same weight and design as the new Premier (sans braking system and a few less lbs on the drag)...for a lot less. Kind of underwhelming, isn't it? A friend of mine called this one when the JM carbonlite came out. Spool design is different between the two also...

Re: Citica / Curado question
201E, and 201E7. Let me ask this, would ABEC 5 spool bearings be considered an upgrade in both these reels? Is it really worth the 40 bucks? If you are paying $40 for ABEC 5 bearings you may want to shop elsewhere. There are two basic types of ABEC 5 bearings: SS cage retainer and races with cerami...

Which model Citica and Curado? If you want an easy answer just go to the Shimano web page and check the part numbers for the models you are interested in.

I have and use several of both. While the TP is a nice reel, the Premier is in a different class IMO.

Re: Jig Rig (jika rig)
I have been fishing this rig since the beginning of spring with good success. I could not find any weighted the way I would like so I made my own. I prefer the weight to be similar to what I would use for a football or pitching jig in the same or similar situation. I have fished the rig in all types...
