Re: 12 Exsence feel on retrieve

I am not sure what time the system updates for inventory. I'm sure it happens late at night or early AM. The inventory isn't live on the website. It updates overnight to show the "accurate" inventory. If you call in to order parts the CS guys can see live inventory. There are some kinks they are try...

Re: 12 Exsence feel on retrieve

It's nothing on the backend or Shopify. It's just how operations run here in our DC. Maybe in the future it can change, but for now it's shipping only. We simply do not have the room to hold a bunch of will call items in the DC or our repair department. As it is our repair department only receives p...

Re: 12 Exsence feel on retrieve

I agree but it's been that way for the 21 years I have been here. We have never sold parts over the counter and we have never offered will call. If the new bearing is still loose bring it by with your side plate and I can find one that fits tighter for you. The counter for repair is open 8-4:30. I a...

Re: 12 Exsence feel on retrieve

You would be surprised. I can grab a different bearing from our drawer and have it fit tight in a side plate like that. It happens as it doesn't take much difference in dimension to have a bearing fit loose. I can say I have never seen a side plate wear out from use like you are describing. It could...

Re: 12 Exsence feel on retrieve

There are tolerances on the side plate and roller bearing. Add a little ACE2 grease to the pocket if the new bearing is still loose. There are differences in the bearings for tolerances as well. There are also differences in the internal size of the rollers. One bearing may reduce handle turning for...

Re: 12 Exsence feel on retrieve

I can only go based on closest diameters which include the thickness of the washer. 10CHZ use 1071S is the closest but the inside diameter is larger. I have used these on some friends Core 100 reels with no issues. 10CJ1 use10CHY. This will have a smaller OD but the thickness is correct. It will not...

Re: 12 Exsence feel on retrieve

It could be the spring washers have compressed and is causing the drag star to physically touch the side plate. The drag washers can compress slightly as well. It's tough to get an accurate measurement because the material is a little soft. So you have two possibilities that are most common. I would...

Re: Shimano Core50/Curado 50/ Chronarch 50 Drive shaft bearing size.

I will agree most use this size, but there are plenty of models that use a smaller size, or bearings of different dimensions. Always double check the schematic first. The 105BV bearing to add a little more info, is a high corrosion resistant bearing but with composite shields to reduce weight. They ...

Re: Stella SW 14000 XG (2019) servicing lubes

On the schematic it is listed RD19533. It shows the seal and the rotor ring as one part number. We suggest using plastic tweezers to handle both of these parts.

You will need to contact the Shimano UK office. I am not sure about service in Europe. I work for Shimano North America.

Re: Antares DC 21 grease

I just use a q-tip and apply it to the rollers in a circular motion around the inside of the bearing. I found it applies evenly to the rollers and rolls the pins as I am turning the q-tip. Hopefully that makes sense. I turn the q-tip in the same direction that the handle will turn. Clockwise for RH ...

Re: Preventing Spool Corrosion on Stella Reels

Unfortunately it is difficult to remove all of the moisture from the line and corrosion will happen when left on the reel. It's just the nature of using reels in saltwater. It will happen with mono or braided line as it traps the moisture. Salmo suggested ceramic paint. It will help for sure, but it...

Re: Antares DC 21 grease

I use our ACE 2 grease and mix it with our Bantam oil. I couldn't give you an exact ratio as I mix it by feel so to speak. I use a light amount which keeps the bearing from corroding and it does not cause slip issues. One of the guys that used to work here when I started taught me and I have been us...
