Re: describe your ideal frog rod.
I just recently discovered my ideal frog rod. Especially for places like the Delta and Clear Lake. It's the new Phenix M1 75XH. It actually a pretty universal rod in that its rated from 1-6oz. It's has an extra fast action ( which in Phenix Terms) means really fast! But not extra fast! ;) at 7'5" it...

Re: New from Phenix at ICast this year
Rumors spread fast! It will definitely be another exciting iCast for Phenix! We will also be introducing a new Jigging rod series in our popular "Black Diamond" saltwater series. Lots of new things to come from Phenix with even more models added to several lines. Like our M1 and MBX. Stay tuned for ...

Re: Flipping Blank Suggestion
Take a look at the Phenix M1 80MH blank. The specs on it are very similar to what your looking for in a 8' blank. Moderately priced too. We have built this blank into flipping sticks for some of our Elite Pro staff like Clifford Pirch. And he is loving it.

Re: phenix rods customer service?
As for the Phenix number, our warehouse hours are from 9-5 each day. pacific time zone. There are 8 people working in our warehouse and phones everywhere. So as long as you call in those hours there is always someone there to answer. At least there better be!

Re: phenix rods customer service?
Jeffery, my apologies, I saw that Alex had sent you a reply email a couple days ago, and once again figured it was taken care of. After I saw your post here I went back to the emails and saw where Alex had sent the response to you, to my email only and not yours. I have made him aware of his mistake...

Re: Long Panfish Rod Blank
Snowman is right! The Phenix Elixer is a great pan fish blank. I think a 4-5wt is to heavy myself. Most of the Elixer line is based on a 2-3wt blank. The Elixer comes in one piece, two piece, and flip style collapsible. Here is a link to the Elixer specs. http://www.phenixrods.com/index.php?main_pag...

Was referring more to the pop max in my comment save your money. Why spend $29.99 when the R2S is $8.99. I agree with the original post! Can't beat Balsa sometimes!

Take a look at the Phenix Ultra MBX S706MH. It's 7'6" MH with plenty of back bone. http://www.phenixrods.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=5 as a guide on the Cal Delta not all my clients are proficient with casting gear and this is the spinning rod I have them use exclusively!

Re: what if you could only use 3 setups
That's easy! For me a Phenix MBX 707H casting rod. It can handle everything! By itself. But since you give two more options, I would take a MBX 706M spinning rod, and a X13 crankbait and topwater rod!

Re: What baits are similar to the R2S S Waver
You could always get the small 120 S-Waver its 4.5" long and has the same great S action as its bigger brother! I know a lot of guys that throw it for big spots and smallies. To me, anything smaller than that won't have the action!
