Re: Conquest 50 Use
i have the 101 conquest and i can only say wow after every cast. from the experience of the 101 i can imagine 51 size would be used for dropshotting with 6 lb line in my arsenal.

finally a fish worth showing!!
caught this smallmouth on a 5 inch yamamoto senko mojo rigged in some slack water off the main river. there was a couple in that hole but i couldn't get them to bite off anything so i decided to go with my go-to bait. had 2 on consecutive casts and landed this one. used a custom 7'2" spinning rod an...

Re: any conquest 101/100 users up in here?
I typically don't have a problem spending alot of money on reels. i love high end gear and can justify paying 300 to 500 bucks. but if i am understanding you guys correctly the DC system runs about 250 more than normal but offers just a slight advantage. i dont see myself doing it.

Re: any conquest 101/100 users up in here?
like by how many yards? i am an open water fisherman and need all the distance possible. my daiwa alphas TypeR can launch senkos into space. i will propably use the conquest 101 for throwing texas rigged senkos, 1/2 to 3/4 oz tubes and 1/2 oz rattle traps.

Re: Hope the Daiwa boys are around
your post screams daiwa alphas type-R for that style of fishing. holds tons of line and is very comfortable to use. sell between 275 and 350. you will love it.

i just might send it to him. every time someone mentions super-tuning his name pops up.cjmartin315 wrote:I have done the same and noticed a significant improvement. I definitely prefer the brass over the stock pixy gear set!
That being said, if you want a reel that smokes, Ian can hook you up.

6.8 to 1 brass gears ?
i just installed a set of 6.8 to 1 gears into my alphas R and am not impressed with smoothness. i used quantum hot sauce. just wondering if thats normal. maybe I am just used to that old gearing which is super smooth.
