Re: Team Daiwa X 103HSD vs. Shimano Chronarch 100SF...
Please compare only the HSD model versus the 100SF, not the HSDF. Thank you everyone.

Team Daiwa X 103HSD vs. Shimano Chronarch 100SF...
Within the last week or so, I got an amazing deal on a 6'6" medium action St. Croix Legend Elite (we'll just say for less than half the original price) on closeout to make room for the 2005 models. To match the rod, I was thinking about buying a Team Daiwa X 103HSD (not HSDF) because I heard it is l...

Do you happen to know why there is a shortage? I also heard that the TD-X might be discontinued after 2005 because of all of the new products. To back that claim up, there is no longer a Japanese equivilant to it and I heard the CV-Z might be going too.

Shimano Calcutta B...
Anyone heard of this reel? I posted this topic on other forum websites and many had either not heard of it yet, or didn't have much information to give. Here is the link...looks like a vast improvement from the regular Calcutta... http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/us/en/fishing/products/reels/...

Re: Team Daiwa X 103HSD or 103HSDF...
Which one is there a shortage of and which one is best suited for overall bass fishing use...and we'll even add in light saltwater or heavier duty freshwater. See I like to fish for smallmouth, but at the same time know I can handle a nice muskie here in PA and then go to the beach for stripers...

Team Daiwa X 103HSD or 103HSDF...
I am interested in the Team Daiwa X model reels. I will be using the reel for light freshwater (throwing 1/8oz. baits) up to and including some light saltwater stuff. Is there that much difference between the HSD and HDSF models in castability. I know the HSDF (F=Freshwater use only) have gold plate...

Sol and saltwater...
I just saw the review of the Daiwa TD-Sol and it got me thinking. A little while back, I wondered if the Sol could be used in saltwater. Even though the line capacity really maxes out at 12lb. test, I thought maybe some ultralight inshore fishing would be cool. So, I called Daiwa and asked if the re...
