Re: New Steez TWS

It's funny how the new knobs and end caps look very similar to Shimano's latest knobs.

Is it a variant or special edition of some sort, or just a lower end reel that I've missed...

Maybe a new Tutula or Tatula Type R.

Re: 2016 New Steez?

I'm glad to see the mag brake dial is not sticking out like on the Tatula's. I just hope the front of the reel is not too wide though.

The 5.5 and 9.1 are JDM only. The 6.3 and 7.3 will be offered in the US. Not sure if there will be any cosmetic differences. The US reels might have the Tatula type knobs though, if I had to guess.

Re: New Curado 70

If the Scorpion 70 specs on Tzlure are accurate, then looks like the Curado 70 will have more line capacity than the Aldebaran. 20 meters more for 12 lb, 14 lb, and 16 lb line. Not necessarily. Remember, previous scorpions(xt) had more capacity than their curado(e) counterparts. Could be that the j...

Re: T3 ballistic spool problem

I have a lefty t3 balistic that when a cast is made it rattles. I have narrowed it down to the spool. It seems that the inside brake lip of the spool is too large and the spring is not held in place so it slips and rattles when casting. Has anyone run into this before? is there a easy fix besides a...

Where is the mechanical brake knob on the Antares? It looks like the Metanium MGL has holes on the sides of the spool like the Antares.

Re: How would you upgrade your Scorpion XT 1000/1001 for hea

I would upgrade the drag to carbontex and get a basszone 90mm or 100mm handle on ebay. They come complete with handle nut and retainer. The stock bearings are fine with a flush and lube. I feel like that smaller reel would still lack some power with such a heavy lure. Only one way to know for sure....

Re: New Curado 70

Mark, My point is that I don't feel a company should be obligated to replace the whole reel when a simple part can be fixed. In fact one time I sent in a reel to be fixed and they shipped back a new one. I was happy at first but then realized the new reel was not as smooth as the original one. So yo...
