Re: Swimbait rod
What size and type of swimbait? Most important question in regards to being able to reccomend any rod to fit your intended use. And that is precisely why I said I fish in Florida and NOT California. I do not use any swimbaits larger than 4 inches normally, and prefer the 3" versions. In California ...

Re: Swimbait rod
I prefer a 6'6" medium to a 7' medium fast action. Then again, I fish Florida, not California.
I know you said brand was not important, but one of my favorites is the USA made Falcon Bucco series. They are light and sensitive and very responsive for what I do.

Florida FDEP New Alga Bloom DashBoard!
It is a shame it has come to this, but Florida is having a serious water problem that is only getting worse due to average of 1,000 people per day moving into Florida. And due to the topography shape of Florida it is causing unusual water quality problems that scientists and biologists and doctors a...

Re: Roller clutch issues?
Who knew anti reverse bearings were such a touchy subject. Think this happened the last time it came up. I know it’s hard to read through the personal attacks and what not, but hope you guys use the info he put out related to the topic since it isn’t wrong. Only other thing I’ll say on this t...

I found it Goldrod! Last night I told you about what former Governor Rick Scott did behind closed doors in making some secret agreement to allow Georgia Pacific in Palatka permission to increase the amount of toxic waste they dump into the river: https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2015/2/3/1361864/-EX...

Re: How much line to put on UL spool?
I put just enough mono just keep the braid from slipping. When the braid needs changing I just take it off and put it back on the reel with the old end first. I get twice the use on the line and don't have to deal with backing or the extra knot. This times 2. Another thing to consider based on line...

Re: I couldn’t take any more
Your walking into the abyss.. safer to just google it... You can google it, but you gotta know what to look for. Kind of ironic the state of Florida produces lists of Florida's dirtiest waters, lakes, and rivers, but not the cleanest! You gotta pry that out of them, or find the right reports...

Re: I couldn’t take any more
Trout Creek? As in off off hiway 13 Jacksonville area with boat ramp at the old RV park turned into public park? Have you ever considered going across the river to Black Creek instead? I use to fish that area, but now I am in central Florida. Kingsley lake is near there. Not a whole lot of choices ...

You can feel whatever you want to. Some of you are obviously in it together but why is the question? Why are some around here so disrespectful and like to launch personal attacks on people is the question. Like an entire clique who want to control forum content and responses and if you don't like th...

You've just had a hard on to prove me wrong because the term grease was used in the same sentence as AR... Just to let you know what 00 NLGI grease consistency is like. Because your "greases ain't greases". Is that how you think? You way over value yourself there. This has nothing to do with you wh...
