Re: Small Swimbait Rod Choice
It’s hard to find a shop in NE Georgia that stocks any swimbait sticks, hence the reason for this request. Tackle Trap would be the closest one, it’s abour 4 hrs away.Reel Assassin wrote:Go to a shop and handle them all to see which feels best in your hands.

Re: Small Swimbait Rod Choice
How comfortable is the Hyuga’s reel seat? The MB Japan website shows minor finger placement indentions. Not as prominent as the Fuji ACS, which feels terrible to me.

Small Swimbait Rod Choice
I’m a bank fisherman just getting into swimbaits, and looking for a rod for throwing hard plastic treble hook baits from 3/4 oz. up to about 2.5 oz. Prefer lengths from 7’2 to 7’6, mod-fast, with a full cork grip if possible. Normal guides, no micros. Line will probably be 20lb Super Natural or 22lb...

I have been getting the yellow 150yd spools online at Walmart.com. Looks like I will need to go to Maxima's website to purchase the 300's.

TSI 321 Questions
Much has been written about using the TSI 321 product on spool bearings, but I still have these questions. Do you notice more noise when casting compared to oiled bearings? How often go you need to re-apply? Can you re-apply 321 using a needle oiler with the bearings installed, or do you remove/clea...

Curado 71 or Chronarch MGL?
For 1/4 to 1/2 oz jerkbaits and 1/4 - 3/8 oz lipless, maybe some 3/16 - 1/4 oz shakey head, on a new Loomis GLX 842C MBR? I have a Chronarch MGL on my heavier jerk/crank/topwater rod, love it! Just unsure how it will handle these lighter weight presentations. No experience with the CU71. Line will b...

Re: Met. MGL Micro Module Smoothness?
Has anyone noticed that the gear ratios for the new Curado 200/201K reels are identical to the Met MGL? Zander's First Look article mentions that these gears are also larger. Time will tell, but our wishes for brass gearsets for the Mets may be answered.

Re: NRX 893 vs GLX 893 2016
At a local store I was able to examine both NRX and '16 GLX 893's side-by-side. The NRX was noticeably lighter and had a lighter tip/less backbone than the GLX. The GLX had better balance. Balance and a little more power won the day and i bought the GLX. Bank fishing at the lake, new GLX 893 up agai...
