Get a 1520 Ryoga and be done with it. For real, throwing what you state you won't be disappointed

Re: Daiwa Certate not casting far
I'm going out on a limb because realistically your options as to 'why' in this case are limited. I come back to the same thought, because years back it happened to me, in that 2500 vs 3000 series have a different size spool. This is obvious, and while generally insignificant given size proximity, it...

Would depend on total length and bend characteristic I'd figure. For instance, I'm thinking a typical length true X-Fast I'd venture 2%, where perhaps a true Moderate might be in the neighborhood of 10% or so? Roughly, hell I don't know. But I do know length and bend matter. That's what she told me.

Re: Why do people fish such heavy breaking strain lines when targeting bass?
It's not so much people use heavy line as much as heavy line works is all. Trout have very soft mouths in comparison.

Re: Do You Believe in Magic? Gan Craft's Killers Dead Sword
Ironic timing... and I'm happy you found the light. Keep it going... Of note, my DSM (s) are 2-5oz not 6oz. I'm figuring simple misprint, but you are right they actually do throw 6 pretty decent. I am shocked you found success throwing down to .5oz on Dead Sword though. I did it a few times but foun...

Re: geecrack double dutch hellsgate
Finally, a mass produced rod that has adjustable butt cap weights! It's such a simple thing, but the improvement to balance blows people away when they try the rods I built. Glad to see this becoming more popular. Rod balance > rod weight. Gan Craft has been including balancers with most their buil...

Re: Looking for a quality snap.
I read a few reviews that state these are sometimes rough and jagged, resulting in braid fraying. Any truth to this? I ordered a package. Not sure why. I'll probably throw them away ;) Interesting. And no I haven't. There is in fact an 'end' to structure, but only way I might see fray is if tying a...

Re: Looking for a quality snap.
We're good you and me. Good point on timeline and I understand and agree with you on the size thing. Spot on. But that's where the new 25 comes in which was the first sentence I wrote. It's smaller than you think. Half the size of 50 which used to be the smallest available. Glorified paper clip, th...

Re: Looking for a quality snap.
The 25 are smaller than you think. What has been written is true. More reliable because they can't open and easier to use because you don't have to open them. It's a win/win. Snaps are outdated technology. I figure only reason these aren't more popular here is because they are not JDM which means n...
