They are different from my experience. The 742c fishes about a power heavier than the 742sf in my hands.

Finding a rod to cover all those techniques will be tough. That said, I've thrown all of those techniques on the megabass javelin. I use a XX Flatside Special for smaller topwaters like the rio rico and super spook jr without any issues. I threw a super spook on it once also, but I prefer a more powerful rod for that.

Also highly interested in any feedback. Been looking for a decent travel rod for awhile.

As others have said, it's in awesome frog rod. It has a nice tio to walk them and the power to hook them.

I've been fishing the 7' light + and use it mainly for lighter finesse techniques (1/4 and under). Very impressed with it in terms of lightness and sensitivity. I think you'll be happy with it.

That Flyssa might be just what I need!

Picked up an Expride 7' Light+ and its been awesome. Handles most open hooked finesse techniques well.
