while I don't have the salt water experience for inshore, we have similar for inshore casting for salmon in the great lakes.

I would consider trying to find a Curado 300E5
I was thinking about a 300K, but same idea

Inshore casting setups

What are you guys using for inshore casting setups? I am using a curado 200k with 72H poison adrena, and it feels a bit difficult to fight 10+ pound snook on. It takes 10-15 min to bring a decent one in, and I don't know if that indicates I should be using a heavier setup, or that's just how snook f...

Curado 300K for snook

Is the Curado 300 K a good choice for tossing 7/16-5/8 ounce(ish)paddletails for snook? Today I was using the 200K with 15 pound test and caught 3 snook, including a 12 ish pounder which I was quite happy about. A guy who helped me land it on the jetty said that I should be using heavier line in the...

Re: Has everyone forgot the Shimano Chronarch is even a thing?

I've never been able to quite like the chronarch as much as I wanted to. It's a nice reel but I just prefer the feel of a metal frame.

Re: E6x inshore feedback wanted

I think the main advantage I can see is a spinning reel can have both high line capacity and the ability to cast light baits. For a casting reel to cast light weights very well it will typically have something in the range of a 150-70 size (in shimano speak) spool, which might not be enough for salt...

Re: E6x inshore feedback wanted

I am going to try and find a store where I can handle the rods.

E6x inshore feedback wanted

I want to get a spinning rod for inshore to pair with my Stradic 3000, and I am torn between the E6X inshore 842S MF and the 843S MF. I understand these rods are more moderate than the freshwater counterparts, which I like for the added Versatility. The 842 is listed as a medium light, and the 843 a...

Re: New Poison Adrena

Basically 3/8 oz total weight now that I think about it. That's what I throw most often and it's in the rods sweet spot. It's a reall bomber too despite the short grip. I wish I could try the rod out in store before buying. Unfortunately I don't think that is going to be possible. It's a gen 1 anyw...

Re: New Poison Adrena

I do have the 72H adrena. I wouldn't say it's a medium heavy as it is definitely a step up in power from my 72mh expride. To me theres no question that it is more stout than that model expride. I had a 76H expride for a day (but sent it back), and that rod was definitely a lot more powerful than the...

Re: New Poison Adrena

So you throw senkos, 1/-1/4 texas rigs, and like 1/4 ounce or 3/8 football jigs on the rod?

Re: New Poison Adrena

Does anyone have the 72M adrena? How does it compare to the 72M zodias? I know the latter is like a M+ which can be used for a wide variety of weightless baits, and small texas rigs/jigs. I'm of no help but I do want to take this time to expand on my gen 1 72M Zodias to set up a reference. It does ...
