Re: Pitching distance
Weird. I could maybe pitch 50ft. It felt like about 10yds was where I could hit a coffee cup whole in a mat consistently. I'm an archer so I feel like my judge of distance in yards is good. It's weird that everyone can pitch 2x as car as I can.. I prefer flourocarbon line. I am pitching in my house ...

Re: Pitching distance
I think the definition of pitching is a bit grey. Might be why it's hard to find and get info. I assume you define pitching as using the flipping motion to make a cast without holding the line in your free hand. I can under hand cast or roll cast pretty far and accurate.

Re: Pitching distance
What line and test? I was pitching in my apartment the other day and I could hit a small bathroom style garbage can just about every time at 25ft. \:D/ 12lb invisx.1/4oz. 6'8" rod. I did some flipping this summer with 65lb braid. 3/4 ounce weight. 7'6" rod and I could mostly hit way I was aiming for...

Re: NRX refresh ?
My only concern with the comments made by SteveSchmelzle is by adding a full handle grip you are you adding more weight and requiring Gloomis to have to finish the blank to add the rod specs because the full grip wont provide the split grip area thus dampening the sensitivity. Kistler has done a go...

Re: NRX refresh ?
a good refresh would be full cork rods. a more likely refresh, knowing shimano, will be to add eva foam crap to their handles, and continue with split grip, to help the balance. Curious how a split grip could provide more balance? I don't know much about the process. I just assume more material beh...

Re: My fancy reels
Nice. You now need a Steez of some sort. You are right, I suppose the Steez platform should be the next on the list :D . I lost a auction on a jdm Steez 6.3 ](*,) oh well maybe next year. A steez with a 611 mb bearing down would be sweet! I plan on pairing the SV 103 6.3 with H power 7' rod. A zbon...
