had a chance to cast yet? interested on the performance.
Fished it a few days and was amazing, ended up moving it on as the rod it was meant for didn’t balance how I like.

Re: Longer ML spinning rod

Not a well advertised brand but Tenryu makes some nice rods and has a ML spinning rod that is 7’5” RZ75ML. I’ve owned both their spinning and now BFS rods and quality is second to none.

They canceled it again, so guess there are some issues.

Re: BFS and Trout baitcast combos

Got a new rod that is proving to be amazing, Tenryu Rayz 53UL-BC. Paired it with my Morrum first but it doesn’t feel right so put a Revo LTX-BF8 and that feels right. https://i.imgur.com/Vs5tv9z.jpg https://i.imgur.com/HL3l9fR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lVmhsxe.jpg Also minimized my selection to take o...

Rakuten Order

Anyone ever place an order for one thing and the order confirmation comes for something different? Ordered a specific spool and the order confirmation came for a different model. I have emailed them but we will see what happens.

Does it have a BFS spool in it?
It does now along with HH AirBFS bearings, lower HH Thumb Bar, New Avail Swept Handle, New Knobs. I was able to find the Avail ZXMG1628R spool for it. Also have the 4mm deep 1648R spool also but I prefer the 2mm version.

Re: Smallmouth Trapara and Troutino

Curious as I have only focused on BFS Trout fishing but have to travel though I live with tons of smallie streams in the town I live in. What would one look for in a rod in the 5.5’ range.

Re: Boca A7 Orange Seals?

Just wanted to update that I got my Boca A7 Orange Seals today and installed them on the 2mm shallow spool and holy cow what a difference over the HH ZR bearings. HH was kind enough to round up the parts so I will have a set of AirBFS bearings arriving at some point to test out as well and if they a...

Let the tuning begin...

Got my hands on an Abu Ambassadeur Morrum and it feels like a great match to my Smith BST43UL/C3 trout rod. Needs some tuning still with some BFS bearings, going to test some Boca A7 OS to start with while Akira over at HH works on getting a set of AirBFS bearings for me. Also thinking of swapping t...

Re: Boca A7 Orange Seals?

I recommend the ZPI spool bearings over the BOCA A7's. I also recommend the Hedgehog Studio bearing remover tool over the BOCA. Link for the ZPI’s by any chance, this would be for an Abu Morrum so 3x10x4 and 4x10x4 IRC. I’ll probably still play with some Bocas as I will have 3 spools to play with s...

Re: Boca A7 Orange Seals?

Thanks I will research if I can find SLP Micros in the needed size. I meant to mention IXA as well. They also make a well regarded SS Micro Bearing. You will find those in the same spot you will find the KTF offerings. When you arrive at that destination there is plenty of information regarding BFS...

Re: Shorter rod recommendation

I’d look at the Diawa Wise Stream rods should keep you around the $200 mark.

Re: Shorter rod recommendation

My current UL line up is a 6' St. Croix Avid and a 6'7" Loomis TSR791. Been fishing a lot of smaller streams lately with limited casting access and the longer rods are becoming a burden for that so I'm looking for something shorter. Just based on what I'm familiar with I'm looking at a Loomis TSR62...
