Re: Custom Spinnerbaits
tfbass.com? I am curious about the baitcaster on your picture. It looks like a great one. Could you tell me the brand and model. Thanks If your referring to his avatar it's a Daiwa big bait special. They can be had at Japan tackle, but it looks like they're back ordered. Give BB a call. He may have...

My vote goes to the Shimano Scorpion. Shimano Japan hit a game winning home run with that reel.
That little reel has time and time again proved to be one of the best little finesse baitcasters of all time JMHO.

Re: Maximum bait for Daiwa Alphas/Sol?
Guys. I throw 1oz-6oz baits consistantly fishing for pike. Just from a comfort level I would not throw anything 2oz or over with a low profile reel. Not just from the reel perspective, but from the rod. throwing 2oz on my heavy flipping rod feels like the thing is going to explode and being that we ...

Re: Which grease for Daiwa 2004?
Grease is grease, Try both and make a determination of what you like best. I do not like grease on drags but a little Yellow Rocket fuel mixed with some Pixi dust is very nice. I was going to suggest the same thing. Clean the grease out of the clicker gear and use oil. It makes for a smoother more ...

Re: Casting Distance (reels, methods, and conditions)
Also. Why are you trying to get distance over accuracy? Fishing from shore? Competition? What species are you after? I know there's a lot of "emptying the spool" type talk, but I'll take an accurate cast over a distance cast anytime. ;) Now if your into competition casting... That's a whole differen...

Right now it's a TD-S 103HL mounted to a G-Blanks 7' MH(Batson ISB843) spiral wrapped Ti guides. Sweet reel, but soon to be upgraded to a TD-Z 105HL.

Re: JDM rod warranty
The problem is there is really no US vehicle to back a warranty on JDM products other than a verbal handshake from the online store you buy it from.
The products in question more than likely have outstanding warranties on their own soil, but here...
