Re: show your stuff
Are those a Viento and a SMAK I see? How do you compare the two...are they pretty much the same reel? How do you think they cast/pitch?
Nice setups TDZ! It's good to have you on the TTF.

Re: Night Fishing
I was going to say a Black JitterBug, a steady retrieve and wait on the hook set until you feel (not hear) the fish. But I think Jay's way is probably just as good.JayInGrapevine wrote:Black. Zara. Spook.
That's all you need for big fish at night.

Re: American Rodsmiths rods
I sure hope it's for real...I'm a huge fan of Ti. I wonder if any of the custom builders can source Ti blanks? Re: American Rodsmiths rods
I suppose this confirms Megabass rolls their own blanks because my Jabber FTi clearly has Ti strands running the length of the blank. I haven't fished the rod much but I have used it enough to know that I adore the crispness (recovery speed) of the stick. It seems it does have the characteristics th...

Pixy - Sol Handles Interchangeable?
I'm getting impatient waiting on the 90mm Bassart handle for my Sol and was going to "borrow" the 85mm ZPI handle off my Pixy for now. I don't want to tear into it if it's not going to fit, though. Anyone know?

Re: American Rodsmiths rods
I've found there are a bunch of folks who will cash in on the "Titanium" thing but just because the word is used in the name of a rod, you shouldn't assume there is any Titanium in the blank. Like AllStar, American Rodsmiths are referring to the Ti guides in the series listed on their Website. Like ...

Re: Need advice on Ultralight setup
That SJR700 does sound sweet. It lists for $170...now if the OP can just find him a decent reel for $30 he's in at budget. But I don't think the monkey should treat him any better than he does the rest of us.
