Re: NEW Megabass Sonic Side crank
Looks alright, but I think megabass could put treble hooks on a dingleberry and this forum would get excited  . I actually haven't had much success with megabass crankbaits compared to other cranks I use. So this being a megabass product doesn't weigh into my interest. What does is its des...

Re: Zillion Type R to Zillion TWS
I'm tending to thing the same, re the Type R's, but was thinking TWS might do better than my SV103 on Frog/Casting setups... But sticking with Type R's on the pitching and flipping rigs... If TT had the Zillon G1 spools available I would just pick up a few of those :crying: There's the issue right ...

Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods
How does the Conquest 903 compare to the NRX 893?
I know the 893 is one of the most well loved rods in the NRX lineup- could the conquest 903 be a suitable replacement?

Re: Shimano ICAST 2018
Looks like it but in the video he says it's a 6.4 gear ratio, and there's no dc whine.JBcrankaddict wrote:Old Exsence DC?
That would definitely fit the billFrom what Ive heard, I think they are supposed to bring a new "Core" to the line

Re: ish frog rod vs omori pitching stick
He might have meant softer tip. Makes sense for a frog rod to have a softer tip than a pitching/flipping stick, as some prefer a softer tip for walking/open water frogs

And what's that dark grey/black 2 tone reel he's holding in the photo with a blue shirt? Body shaped like a core but in the video you can clearly see the top/hood is darkerLgMouthGambler wrote:Looks like its just a 13Metanium, Metanium MGL, and the other pic a Citica G. So, whats soo special?

In this video is possibly that new met.

Here's that silver reel with the black hood? At end of video there's a better shot, looks more silver/white.

Re: Shimano ICAST 2018
Looked like in one of the last TW videos with Luke Clausen he had what looked like a metainium with a black hood... This video? https://youtu.be/YZEz0TLt_lg You can definitely see a white reel with black hood on his deck. What I'm wondering is what reel is that he's using? Close up at 5:35- he's sh...

Re: Micro Module Gear Core MG8 SVS infinity
I think that's pretty much what the bantam is, no? I think shimano seems to be going in a different direction with more squared off, angular design vs the rounded lo profile bodies of the past. Would make a cool reel though, loved that body. Unfortunately I don't know how well it would sell. As rods...

Re: What do you daiwa guys use to bomb lures?
Probably my OG zillions with hedgehog zr bearings & IZE hlc spools. My OG HLC Zillion needs some tlc (sticking magnets), but I'd imagine with upgraded bearings and supertuned, running the stock spool, would probably be the champ. I'd think one of the 1516 tw zillions, or even a t3 with the mag 3D br...

Re: Moving to Texas
Can't speak about proximity to lakes, but I recently went to Austin for the first time. I feel in love hard with that city, I would move there in a heartbeat!
That city is the sh*t, I can see why it just got ranked the number one city in America to live in.

Re: Single barbless hook - front or back?
I'd go with the back. I only fish one treble on the back of a lot of my small crankbaits & poppers. If it's a jerbait, I'd experiment in a pool or something to see how the balance is effected & which placement is best. Could experiment with stick on weights(if you're an obsessed fisherman and it mat...

Re: Steez RC vs Poison Ultima
Thanks Gents for the replies on PU. Unfortunately, those replies turned a monkey into a gorilla. I found a seller that has a 172h new in Japan well above an already healthy msrp. But could I wait possibly a full production cycle? I'm a slow, patient, dissect the sh$@ out of a spot fisherman. But, s...
