Re: Black Dog Bait's Lunker Punker

I love the look of the Rover... will be throwing it at Amistad. I also got some of the stock trout colored 128s last night.

Re: Fed Ex just left my driveway

That rod is great for shallow to mid depth cranks. It has the power to throw a D-20, but an 847 is better for that. Today my 101 # Minn Kota arrives via fed ex!!! 8-)

Re: Fed Ex just left my driveway

Yeah, I have always shipped rod via PVC, but everyone has shipped them to me in cardboard. None broken... yet!

Re: Your Favorite Deep Diver Rod

CBR845 for everything up to CBD-12'sa dn DD14's and a CBR847 D-20's DD22's. The CBR906 is also great, but has a lot of tip.

Re: New Loomis Rod... Which One?

The 853 is probably your best choice. I have several of the BCR rods, in the 853 is the most versatile. I like the 854 for jigs, the 853 for most finesse jig and worm apps, and the 852 for throwing really finesse stuff or big topwaters.

Re: Confessions of a Monkey slave

The sad part is that I am a junior in high school, work a part time job, and fish tournaments. I am afraid that I caught an early case.

Re: Confessions of a Monkey slave

Yeah I understand. I just conciously decided that I needed a Scorpion Mg with ZPI Carbon handle, SIC bearings, mounted on a G.Loomis BCR853. I also decided that I needed a few more (60) football jigs, 2 or 10 Mattlures bluegill, four or five spools of Sniper, and some of those fun LC D-12s and 20s. ...

Re: Fed Ex just left my driveway

The rod was only 7', and the cardboard was about a 1/2" thick. It is more sold than PVC.

Re: 7 lber from Choke Canyon

A couple of good friends of mine fished it. Didn't weigh their fish in cause they had nothing over 5. When I told one of them that they would've cut a check, they were slightly angry.

Fed Ex just left my driveway

They just left a 7'6" cardboard tube on my porch. It contained a backup CBR845. :D

Scorpion vs. Chronarch

Which one of these Mg reels would you choose? I have narrowed it down to these two to go on a BCR853. I can get either one locally for $150-180, depending on the version.

Scorpion or Chronarch

I have narrowed it down to a Scorpion Mg or a Chronarch Mg. How long does shipping usually take from Japan if I cannot find one in the States? Which one would y'all choose?
