Increased costs for long tubes from Japan

I just read that one of the more popular Japanese online sellers is pretty significantly increasing (3.5 x) their shipping charges for rods that require tubes 122cm in January. They are basically reacting to an increase in Fedex pricing and higher fuel costs. Hint if you want to read about it—they a...

Re: Tulala Rods

Tulala rods are great from my experience or at least that’s my opinion. I have the previous generation Monstruo 74 which is spiral wrapped and the gargoyle 68. These are the ones with the cork handles and large but ends. I initially used the monstruo for large plastic paddle tails on a beast hook an...

Re: 2023 Kaleidos—the war gazelle

I guess I should have been clearer when I posted this. This short gazelle rod is clearly not going to be my next go to punching grass here in FL. I just thought it was cool how long this rod has been in development and I was assuming some of the tech and aesthetics would carry over to the other more...

2023 Kaleidos—the war gazelle

Interesting preview of what might come with the 2023 Kaleidos. Interesting read too about latest carbon materials discussed on other threads here. Might need to use the translate feature if it does not pop up in your language of choice initially.

Project t—steez A II

I think this reel is new. Looks like something I remember but everything is hyper.

Re: Best EG Spinerbait Rod

You might take a look at the dire wolf wild 7. For my liking, the cougar elite is more of a square bill/treble hook rod. Dire wolf has more beef to it.

Re: Very good, inexpensive square bills?

Lucky Craft LC 1.5 is the OG, catch them on sale and I'd say they're very inexpensive and catches the fire out of them. Yeah, this is on of the baits I stocked up on a bit. Also like them in the 1.0 version. They work and last forever. Just change out he beat up hooks once in a while and sharpie in...

Re: Edge Epitome

Thanks for that feedback. That $295 blows my mind. With inflation being where it is, what are they able to do to keep costs low? Or, were margins so high before that they're willing to take a hit on it now, only to raise prices later when people realize that this series is a unicorn. Who knows haha...

Cool rod. Shorter length, huge power, and no spine. That sounds really interesting. Look forward to hearing more.

Those new tatula xt’s look like a lot of rod for a hundred bucks. Might be a winner at that price.

Re: Official ICAST 2022 Post...

Spro is the master at knocking off JDM baits. Along these lines, by now it seems like every bait manufacturer has a near identical looking 110 kickoff. But the Spro McStick was an early one. There’s been two separate podcast shows where I’ve heard McLelland talk about in great depth how he ‘designe...

The below link to the BASS site has some pre-icast announcements, so not exactly leaks.

Check out the trigger on the new st croix swimbait rods. More of a pistol grip.

Re: Seems I've reach an impasse with reels

after having been on the fence for many years and not buying any of the Twing variants, i broke down and got me a steez a , liked it enough and got another steez a and this one had surgery by none else but one of the good doctors , Mr. Shields. Im not sure of the exact order as Im thinking about it...

Re: Fluorocarbon vs sensitivity

Fluro remains stiff under slack like nothing else. Consequently, it transmits every tick and bump better than any other line irrespective of stretch. But, it’s the least manageable of all. Like the person above states, it’s a trade off with manageability. After I started using straight fluro for bot...

Re: Zillion TW HD ‘22

I’m puzzled by the change in drag strength. Is it legit or just an attempt to make it seem more “HD”. Also, can someone please confirm that it does have a drag clicker? Yes; drag clicks. It’s actually quite a nice sound similar to a spinner; much more so than a steez ct. Have not disassembled it to...
