Re: Daiwa Rebellion Rods 2020

big jerkbaits maybe. its stiff.

i really like the blank itself, but i haven't been able to get used to the reel seat. i much prefer the airbeam, and the tatula elite. if it didn't cost so much to ship rods, i would just sell it.

Re: Compact Jigs

i didn't order any of the bill lowen jigheads, but i did get in some 1/4oz brush jig heads with a 2/0 hook. i've got a couple made up i will fish tomorrow.

that do-it brush jig is probably my favorite jig for fishing wood.

Re: 12# sniper?

i still haven't tried sniper. i've been very happy with assassin in 15# & 17#.

i tried tatsu in 8# on spinning, and it didn't floor me. i was expecting it to handle much better than anything else, but it didn't for me.

Re: Compact Jigs

i'm gonna try the bill lowen jigheads from lure parts online sometime this year. they're compact. i think you get more bites with smaller baits most of the time. yeah you may catch small fish, but you're gonna catch some big ones also. i fish strictly for fun, and want to catch fish the 1 or 2 times...

Re: Boss Dock Knocker jig

i haven't used those, but i'm totally with you on how a weedguard sits on a jig. i use jigs poured on the do-it brush jig mold, and have much more luck than with any other.

Re: New Daiwa reel?

not really interested in any of the new products, but that's ok cuz i've got plenty of junk now 😁 i fast fwd thru the daiwa australia stream on youtube last night. looks like they're getting screwed like usdm, although they only showed reels. i haven't figured out why daiwa would release a reel like...

Re: I don't use spinning gear at all. Do you?

for the past 25 years all i've done in bass fish. i keep 6 combos in the boat, and 1 of them is spinning. i use it for the normal stuff...shakeyhead, ned, and dropshot. in the past month, i've been crappie fishing more than anything else for some reason. i'm not really crappie fishing as much as i a...

Re: light side of 7' m/mh tatula elite?

i forgot all about the tak spinning rod, i was talking about the ags casting.

i've been looking for a bfs-ish rod. i'm planning on using 8-10# fc....maybe 12 at times. i do want some backbone to the rod though, as i plan to throw some 3/16 jigs with it.

light side of 7' m/mh tatula elite?

will this rod effectively handle 1/8-3/16oz jigheads with finesse worms? i want a bfs-ish rod, but i'm not really planning to throw crappie jigs with it.

Re: The most important setup-your truck and rig

my previous vehicle was a 08, but it wasn't 4x4. i've been looking for a 4x4, but they want some stupid prices for them.

i ended up having transmission problems with the 08, and started searching online about. it seemed to be a problem with the transmission cooler and was pretty common.

Re: Daiwa Rebellion Rods 2020

i've had the 6101mhr out a couple of times, and i have things i like & don't with it. the reel seat isn't my favorite. exposed blank seats aren't as important to me (especially with moving bait rods) as they apparently are to most. i say that because most mfgs keep trying to give you more blank expo...
