I pre-ordered three. They aren’t as much as what I’m seeing posted here.

Re: $730 Usdm daiwa ct sv tw 70
Is Daiwa US going for the Best Buy business model? Why would I pay $750 for a $500 reel? You're paying $250 for a warrenty. Retail on the US model is $729.99. As noted, the US model has a 90mm handle, larger knobs, and brass Hyperdrive gears. Let's think about the value of the Executive Service pla...

Re: St. Croix Legend Elite 7’6” MF
Any of your bottom contact river smallmouth presentations . Tubes, Neds , craws etc Great to know. Line choice preference? Braid or fluoro or mono? What lb test is the sweet spot? Thanks! Amount of lead (overall weight) given conditions (depth/current flow) should dictate. It’ll handle a wide range...

Re: Seriously still no news about new '22 reels?
So the hopefuls on the way: Shimano: A new Aldebaran, BFS version and regular casting version too (seemingly the BFS is listed on JDM Tackle Heaven) A new Stella would match the every 4 years trend Mention of a DC version of the new Metanium Daiwa: Probably some Tatula variants Already got a Zillio...

Re: Seriously still no news about new '22 reels?
Hi! The awaiting is drivin me nuts! No news or even rumors about new Stella or Exist? What about Z2020 or Ryoga for example? Should be improved with SVBoost and Hyperdrive! Hang in there. Soon. Hopefully at the Japan shows coming up in Feburary? Or sooner? I’m referring to here. But that’s all I ca...

Superb reel. I have three of the US versions. No issues throwing “Normal” sized offerings.

Re: GLoomis NRX 802s versus 803s (not NRX+).
On the Susqy - 803. You’ll get owned on the 802 in Susqy current and it’s not a rod I would have within 50 miles of Erie. Just me. Regarding the 802 - What I passed on last year or the year to you about it. Unless using all but the lightest lead plus small lighter (less salt) offerings. I wouldn’t t...

Steez CT 70’s and Exist LT’s (multiples of each). If it gets any “smoother” I don’t need it.

Re: Megabass whipsnake vs St Croix elite 6'10'' ml
Stick with the Elite(s). I’ve lipped literally thousands of smallmouth on Elites, Legend X and Xtremes. You’ll be fine and you’re not missing a thing. With a much better warranty.

Re: Sling pack for wading?
Simms with a camelback.
And I wade for smallmouth more miles than I drive a year (or close).
If one needs an extra rod while doing so simply tuck the rods butt into the weak side (non casting side) of any belt to the rear.

Re: 2021 steez ags rods
The heck with the rods Goldie those are some some fancy fishin’ boots. Probably match well with some tweed. They put my Simms G4’s to shame.
