Re: BFS Telescopic

Nice to see a real review on some telescoping BFS rods, I’ve eyed a few over the last year but most are an investment. At that price it may be worth picking up to mess with. Currently skipping the BFS but I’m looking to play with some 0.5g spoons to see how they fare.

Re: Well I couldn’t stay away...

Also, looking at the Ballistic, upgrading to the full 11 bearings, and upgrading the knob isn’t much cheaper than just buying the Daysprout version that is already tuned and you get it in black.

Re: Well I couldn’t stay away...

All I have to say is this reel feels just like my old Exist LT1000S-P, fishes and reacts the same. Definitely a must have reel for me. Doing some research I found out that the reel is a highly tuned 2019 Ballistic FW LT 1000S-P. Quite a few of the articles I read refer to it as the "Little Exist" s...

Sweet looking reel. What do you think this reel is based off of?
Feels a lot like the Exist I owned previously. Spool looks very similar to the SLP Exist Spool. The zaion frame gives it a super durable look that isn’t flashy or a finish that will chip.

Re: Well I couldn’t stay away...

Got my rod and reel in plus some line on it. This reel is amazingly light, ultra smooth and just damn sexy. Balance is spot on and a great reel for the rod.

Re: Well I couldn’t stay away...

Congrats! That reel is the perfect crappie reel.....not to mention true finesse. Do you know which model Daiwa reel they have converted.....or is it a stand alone model? Looks like something right up my alley.....where did you purchase? Thanks in advance. Regards I’m not sure which model they alter...

Excellent trout combo!
Never heard about Day Sprout and SLP have a special reel line.
Yeah it was a totally odd ball find when I was looking at reels, super stoked I know many people don’t like the slower retrieve rate but I’ve had several reels with it and it works for me.

Well I couldn’t stay away...

So figured I’d get a new UL rig to play with. The rod is an old friend that I’m getting back from a buddy who prefers his BFS gear. If I get really lucky maybe it will all arrive by the weekend so I can test it out Sunday. Rod: Varivas TRD Native Trout Rod TRD-411FS-4 4'11'' (1.50m) 2 - 4 Nylon or 0...

Re: Ajing/ Mebaru rods for micro nymphing.

Sounds like using micro spoons and an area rod setup may be better suited for a tiny finesse option.

Re: Recommend me a spinning reel

Daiwa Revros are built like a tank and land in that price range.

Ajing/ Mebaru rods for micro nymphing.

Curious for those that have these rods how well do you think it would work? Single or double nymphs on an Ajing rig just curious on everyone’s thoughts. I’ve thought about picking up a fly rod again as euronymping has always interested me.

I bought some a long time ago from ebay.
It came in a set with different sizes. Came in very handy when trying to shim knobs to correct tightness.
Thanks, actually had to switch to looking for RC Car washers and found some now to look around.

Looking for some knob shims for an Abu Handle

Have one handle knob that needs a little shimming any leads where to source some washer shims?

M&N Corp rods

Long shot but looking to see if anyone has any experience with M&N Corp rods. M&N Corporation was founded in 2014 on the basis of the famous brand UFM Ueda Nishimura and is a kind of successor with a tendency to improve the well-known gear. Although, by and large, the difference is only in price, be...
