Re: What’s In Your Rod Rack?

That Spectra is a sweet rod. Currently have one rod I use and that is a Spectra paired with an Abu Revo MGXtreme 2000SH spooled with Sunline Small Game 0.6PE with Varivas 8lb TiCoated Flouro leader. I have another rod incoming a Jackson Trout Unlimited 4’5” one piece solid carbon rod. Excited to see...

Thanks!

When they say “right” they mean thread direction? Not right hand?
Typically means the handle is on the right hand side for reeling right handed

Re: TFO GTS S 601-3 info

It's part of TFO's travel series rods, and I think it was at least meant to serve as a more packable version of the 601 FWSF, which was a 2 piece spinning fly rod. The Tennessee grip is used so you can mount a fly reel or spinning reel on it. I know the 601 FWSF was created specifically with Joe Ro...

Any favourite must try spoons by now?
Big fan of the Smith D-S Line and Daiwa Crusaders I could fish those almost exclusively. Now I’m fishing primarily suspended baits targeting bigger fish and having a blast.

Re: Looking to upgrade hooks and rings LC FM Tr85SP.

Owner barbless: Stbl-1.56bc (for the smaller, lighter option) Stbl-31tn Stbl-36bc Stbl-41tn Doubt you will need thicker hooks for trout... VanFook barbless: DT-38BL-B (“the mountain stream trout hook”) They probably do other versions as well... Thanks, was able to find the VanFook in stock so going...

I have have used Owners - same type, you can get them all as barbless - and VanFook in Barbless and still do. Especially for salmon where it is mandatory in my waters. They work like a charm.
I’ll have to try and find some online.

Re: Looking to upgrade hooks and rings LC FM Tr85SP.

I prefer Owner/Cultiva to any other brand - hook thickness x1-x3 depends on the size of your target. I use Owner ST21 for smaller trout, ST36 for large trout. ST41+ for atlantic salmon. The ST21 will often bend during a fight with a bigger specimen but it has never lost me a fish. I just bring spar...

Looking to upgrade hooks and rings LC FM Tr85SP.

Looking to upgrade the hooks and rings on my Lucky Craft Flash Minnow Tr85SP after have a few fish tweak some hooks. Current stock hooks are a size 7 per LC so probably have to go to a size 6. Also considering some barbless trebles as I typically catch and release trout as my only target. Current ho...

Biggest crappies have come on either smaller 1/8 rattle traps or micro jigs with 1” trout craw plastics

TFO GTS S 601-3 info

Curious if anyone has any info on this rod, found and ordered one as the specs look right to play with. According to the seller it was for display purpose only at shows though I can’t find any info on this rod at all. 6’ 3pc UL Rated 1/32-3/16 2-6lb line Solid cork grip with slide rings for the reel.

Re: Jerkbait Trout Rod

Fenwick KTF GWT-60CLJ fits the bill, Currently testing it but fells a little over powered for me 5.5-6g lure. Was wondering how the Daiwa Wise Stream feels.
