Re: 2-Power High End Casting Rods?
In recent months Trey had 2 power casting model Z Bones listed. They are just out of stock after the recent sales. I ordered a Z Bone on Friday that doesn’t appear on the site either. A “1” spin. Just a FYI. I would add that the “2” Z Bone is superb for intended purposes. I have a couple of “2” spi...

Re: Shimano Stradic FL (Smootheness)?
I’ve often lamented that ridiculous inertia while on the water with my six Stella FJ and Exsence fleet. I’m saddened that I need another of either for a rod getting delivered this week.

Re: North Fork Composite HM-XRay Blank Question
I just purchased four of the 2020 Z Bones. Couldn’t be happier. They won’t be my last.

Re: Daiwa SV Light LTD
Flukes of course come in a few sizes. What size are we talking about ? You have the reel. Give it a whirl.
Someone could tell me a 100 Calcutta Conquest isn’t a great weightless plastic reel and I would agree. But I know from my experiences that it’ll bomb cast a Magnum Fluke.

Re: Make No Bones About It, The New Z from Kistler
Sorry to resurrect from the weeds. However as someone that (like many I suspect) have no way of touching a purchase before purchasing these reviews are invaluable. There’s not another site like it and remains at the head of the class. Precisely why I joined so many moons ago. Release the hounds. Bas...

Re: Rod Length in Kayak vs canoe
Cristo I have 5 Ram mounts on my Big Tuna. 3 on the big JKrate behind my seat on the track system with rods traveling at a downward angle and trailing behind. 2 at either side of my seat. The 2 at either side of my seat are used for the rods “in use” and are angled lower rather than straight up in t...

Re: Rod Length in Kayak vs canoe
Is your yak a sit on top or sit in ? I log a ton of miles on my Jackson Tuna every year chasing river smallmouth in all kinds of conditions. I’ve never had an issue with my rod lengths. I fish plenty of sticks to 7’6” but would have zero issue going longer if a presentation depended on it. The only ...

Re: What is your go-to ned rig setup?
HF I routinely set off on Bataan Death March wades particularly in the heat of summer when I need to walk far, cover water and stay out of the spook zone. It hasn’t ever limited my price points. I carry the same tackle on foot or floating and I fish some real remote bony water. Perhaps studs over fe...

Re: What is your go-to ned rig setup?
:-k The business end. https://www.in-fisherman.com/editorial/Travis-Myers-Insights-About-Jigs-Tubes-and-More/373022 I’ve got a rod tube that I suspected would have been here today coming with what I suspect will be my new Ned rods. I generally carry 2 sometimes 3. They’ll get pinned to Stella FJ’ s ...

Re: St. Croix Legend Extreme gen 2
Will spinning rods be permissible regarding balance point pics ? I ask because I doubt that is what the readership is wanting. My two spins (and another couple Legend Elite spins) should be here this week early next depending on shipping.
