For those of you that tournament fish, what do you put on your hooks To prevent hooking bass while prefishing? I was mainly wondering about frogs and buzz baits.

Samurai doesnt cast well. Very prone to wind knots and tip wrap. Quietest braid there is and great for flipping grass. Would not pick it for any skipping presentation, preforms very poorly in that situation.

I was going to go with a scorp xt but found a ch50e nib for 150 and went that route. I'll take the AR pawl out and call it good. If I like it I'll get an XT down the line.

Does the Scorpion XT1000 have a shorter handle and if so how do you guys like it? I'm just wondering if I fish with mainly CU200E7s, CU200I's, and BantamCU200s and then purchase some of these smaller reels with the shorter handles if switching between setups will throw off my casting. I don't think it matters what line/reel with this lure. In this case a 200 size curado, line has been all over the place. Many times on the cast the lure sails, but spins like a helicopter. Usually fishing 12-17lb. fluoro with this bait, and a 3/8 to 3/4oz. scrounger.
