Re: Tatula vs Tatula R?
With the better bearings, drag star, and looks, I like my Type-R better. Casting machine it is.

Re: Daiwa T3 1016 for shallow cranking
I have the Ballistic XS 8.1, and I put the Hawg Tech curved handle with red accents on it. I love it, but yes the reel seems a little funny to me when reeling compared to my others. Maybe its the material of the reel.

I have a few...USA brand (I believe made here), strong, excellent quality and priced very well. Add in great custom service and these are a very viable contender. Nice work. Re: Hawged reels
Love the looks of those handles except for the screw cap. Are other brands, such as Hedgehog compatible? Same goes for the knob post I don't know it they are compatible. I talked to Mike about a few designs that might look better for these handles and the finesse handles they are working on. I real...

Re: T3 for buzz baits?
I have my T3B set up with 40# braid for buzzbaits. I have the 8.1 series, and it helps to keep the bait at the surface. Like said before, the hood engagement is just awesome for this.

Re: Do you really need a Frog Rod for frogs?
Im more comfortable with a rod that is 7' or less. My choice? Dobyns Savvy705C. Great backbone, accurate casting, and great overall feel(for me). Most people go with the 7'3-7'6 rods. Do you really need a longer rod? No, but to some its more comfortable to fish. You will take up a little more line o...

Re: CU200i on deck ... First impression.
Way to be impartial and represent multiple companies that make refined reels and rods. All good choices. Nothing fancy but they work. The rest of the crew for now ... Half might change in a week or so with the way I've been going through gear ! Just in the past month or two I've sold a Tatula...

Re: BB1 Pro VS Curado I VS Tatula
That place is awesome! I wish we had something like that down here. I had went to a place in Lake Whales called The Fishermans Candy Store, kind of the same concept, I would give up Bass Pro for that. I have the Tatula Type-R and really like it, the size doesn't bother me, and neither does the brake...
