Re: New series - Outdoor Heritage
I hope that in year 5 or 6 or 7 it makes it to Wisconsin! I don't think that should be a problem though considering the people running it actually care about the sport and have been in the position of the contestants themselves. like the name says, its their heritage.

Re: DX 795 FLIP
the dx 795 is a for flipping, either the dc795sbmt or dc795mlsb would be what your looking for if you wanted to throw bama rigs. but the dx795 is the best flip/punch rod out there without a doubt. good luck and keep an eye out for more dobyns.

Re: hollow core braid?
If you know how to tie an FG knot and an alberto knot. There really is no need for Hollow core for bass fishing. The only application I can think of is if you use long leaders of over 50lbs and passing knots is an issue on your setup. Oh and the alberto is faster to tie, stronger and smaller than a...

Re: Help me decide Recon or Champion
I'm curious...were these Recons transported from WI to Kentucky? If so, how were they transported? Otherwise, I have read of a few breakage issues with the Recons...but many others have had very positive experiences with them. I just can't seem to see how a 4 power 7'6" rod can break on hookset usi...

Re: Help me decide Recon or Champion
i think that dobyns builds a much better rod than phenix simply from experience, out of the 4 dobyns i currently have i have had no problems, and out of the 4 recons i had before switching to dobyns they all either fell apart or snapped on the first hookset, i couldnt use them for more than a day b...

Re: Recent Purchase Thread
I just ordered a Phenix Recon 7'6" 4 power, can't wait to get it. It's replacing a Bass pro shops bionic blade that was a present 9ish years ago. I'm sorry my friend... It is a nice rod while it lasts, unfortunately the first one i had snapped the second time i set the hook, fish was 10 inches. the...

Re: Duckett White Ice??????

Re: dobyns only
thanks civicrr, I have heard good things about that lighter tip which was one of the main reasons i was thinking about getting it, especially since when i set the hook i hold nothing back looks like I'll most likely be going with 795 then.
