Re: Swim Jig Rod Suggestion
I've been throwing swim jigs a ton in sparse and heavy vegetation. Used a number of rods (bank fisherman, I don't always have them all with me): 1/4 and 5/16: Loomis GLX 843 and ZBone 733. 3/8 and 1/2: Dobyns Xtasy 754 and Destroyer FMJ. 3/4: Destroyer Bunker Buster. All of those rods have a fast (...

Re: Swim Jig Rod Suggestion
Looks like you’re keyed in on Megabass? .... if so my suggestion is the Orochi XX Braillist... second choice, the Destroyer Javelin. I have the Braillist but it is way too long for what I would be using it for- where I am throwing the jig it is usually at the bank around laydowns. I want to keep it...

Re: Swim Jig Rod Suggestion
Another thing I failed to mention is that the jig I am using has a thin wire hook and I don't have a need to drive the hook home or pull fish out of heavy cover which is why I am leaning toward a more medium powered stick versus your traditional swim jig rods (medium-heavy to heavy).

Swim Jig Rod Suggestion
As the title says I'm looking for THE rod to throw 3/8oz swim jigs plus a trailer around sparse grass, pads, and wood. I tried the Orochi X4 "Black Elseil" (F4.5-70X4) and find the rod to slow. I have a hard time ripping it out of the grass and feeling those bites where they eat it and swim at you a...

MG Stardust Shad and M Cosmic Shad are also pretty flashy.

Megabass Eiger Northwall with a '12 Aldebaran XG- Northwall feels a little short but gets the job done- feel like the Super Eiger would be perfect

Re: Frog and Punch rod suggestions
I think you might run into some shortcomings if you try to fit all of those techniques into one rod. While I'm sure that some rods out there could "handle" it. I think you would find yourself fishing better/more comfortably if you split it into a couple rods. I know I wouldn't feel comfortable fishi...

Index finger when holding bass?
While browsing social media one thing I noticed when looking at pictures of people holding fish is that some people stick their index finger out or don't grasp the fish with the index but rather with the middle finger. After I noticed this I realized I do it myself and began to ask why? Do you guys ...

Re: 7’2″ F5-72XRC Racing Condition by Megabass
I have the Limited Edition one with the cranes on it. Has become my go-to moving bait rod for baits in the 3/8-1/2oz range, has just the right action to snap the bait free from grass but loads up nice so you don't pull the bait out of the mouth. The limited one came with a limited edition knuckle so...

Re: What is your go-to Jackhammer/Cricket trailer?
When fishing shallow a Zako, Live Magic Shad, or Optimum Double Diamond. When fishing deeper I like a fluke as it gives it more of a "hunting" motion and even more so if you don't put it on perfectly straight

Re: ID this Megabass color
Do you have another picture? I actually just created an Excel Spreadsheet with every color 110 that I know of so I might be able to ID it for you if it is a little bit better of a picture. Based on that picture I would guess GLXS Spring Reaction.

Core 50mg7 or Aldebaran MG7 swapped with XG gears. Smaller size for comfortability without sacrificing speed.

Re: Ned Rig CASTING only
Megabass Eiger Northwall paired with a '12 Aldebaran BFS XG- the rod works great but I definitely think it would be better if it was a little longer so I'm looking for the Super Eiger.
