Re: Megabass F5-72XRC-ACL
In the present, yes but during the year this came out I’d like to think other wise. Given that it’s a 1 of 99 I would think money was the last thing they were looking for.poisonokie wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 2:00 pmPssh... To a certain extent they'll use whatever they have to in order to sell rods.
You do you, brother.

Re: Megabass F5-72XRC-ACL
I have the non crane version, so same thing just not as fancy. I have it paired with a TD-Z and use it for lipless cranks. This rod was one of Amarts favorite jerkbait rods. Thanks for the info Teal! It seems like it would set up perfect for any 3/8-1/2oz moving bait. Given that I’m not a very tall...

Re: Megabass F5-72XRC-ACL
I would think so considering they released a limited edition knuckle with it. The only information I've found is specs on the rod not really a typed out description which is why I made a post on here to see if anyone has used one.

Was finally able to locate one of these gems at a price point I could afford that wasn't terribly abused. Just curious on if anyone has ever used one of these rods? What was your favorite technique for it? Trying to get an idea of what reel to by as I feel like this rod deserves more than just ANY r...

Re: Expride Tip Guide Replacement
If you cant get a hold of them or determine the size MudHole makes a tool so you can measure both the diameter of the blank and diameter of the tip top and then you can order one from MudHole themselves or your company of choice. Re: Z Man Chatterbait Micro trailer?
I've tried the chatterbaits before and they are money for ponds or small rivers. I went with a Zoom Swimming Fluke Jr. and just bit it down to what I felt looked right. It worked well and I caught many fish but it definitely caused the bait to rise/wake as previously mentioned.

I just ordered one of these rods from a Japan auction site and have only ever seen the LTD edition. Curious on if anyone has ever used or seen one of these rods before?

Spinnerbait Trailer Hook
What is everyone’s go-to spinner bait trailer hook? I’ve tried Gamakatsu and VMC and I think I like the VMC more but just curious if anyone found anything better?

Re: best topwater frogs
Pro-Z has been my go to and I've used Spro, Koppers, and Booyah. Hooks turn out everytime, they make a sweet black color with a smoke/translucent belly, and they're cheaper than most! Can't beat it!

Im sure the wrap doesn't weigh much of anything but do you think it will change the suspending action?

Re: Swim Jigs....when to use them???
Pre-Spawn and during the spawn, only use Strike King Tour Grade due to the light wire hook. Spawning fish have a hard time committing to baits and this is the only light wire swim-jigs I have found and they increase my hook up ratio. The thick gauge hooks you have to set the hook like you're fishing...
