Goodbye Shimanoloomis hello Gary North fork loomIs?

I guess it's almost time to dump the Shimanoloomis rods and say hello to the real Gary north fork loomis rods? http://tackletour.com/reviewedgefishing.html Shimanoloomis is going have a fight. I wonder if this will make Shimanoloomis go back to honoring their limited life time warranty rods? Will th...

I just trid it and your right. The floater floats up diagonally.

Re: Suspend Strip ? Does and don'ts?

Does these suspend strips or dots work on floating baits? I want to make a floating bait suspaend. It would take to many plus it would probably hurt the action if you managed to put enough on to get a floater to suspend. The best way to do that is to use the lead twist weights or wire and wrap arou...

Re: Carolina rig on a jerkbait?

That was very helpful.

I think I rather do a Carolina rig on a jerbait then put a suspended dot on a floating bait.

Mattman wrote:You're better off using a 3-way rig rather than a C-rig.

Regardless of whether your jerkbait (or floating crank) floats, any bill makes it dive. Use a dropper on your 3-way rig that is longer than the dive depth of the jerkbait.

Re: Gloomis warranty

The Xpeditor service is still available and the fee is now $100. Only current model rods are covered. Discontinued rods need to be sent in for warranty evaluation. http://www.gloomis.com/publish/content/gloomis_2010/us/en/conventional/2/xpeditor__program.html The warranty has not changed. The rods ...
