If theres no price, then I would low-ball, say around $140. Maybe he will negotiate and you can still get it for a decent price.
Thats my Plan but just wanted to get an idea as to where to start, if you go to low some people get offended and stop dealing with you.

Re: OG tatula vs New tatula rod

Yes, but I use it more for senkos, finesse jigs, and light texas rigs. It's great for dead sticking 5.8 and 6.8 flick shakes. Daiwa needs to bring this rod or an equivalent ... ie Steez Harrier-Finesse to pair with the new Steez ct sv If I get an Alphas CT, and let's be honest, I will, that rod is ...

Re: OG tatula vs New tatula rod

That's good to hear. They really are great rods for the money and I'm glad they actually managed to improve upon them without jacking up the price. Here are the weights of the 1st gen models I have or have had in the past: Tatula 6101MXB: 3.8 Tatula 6101MHFB: 3.7 Tatula 711MHXB: 3.8 Tatula 711MHRB:...

Re: BFS in the bay

Are these BFS reels (i.e. such such as the Adlebaran) salt water durable? The Aldebaran is not recommended for salt because of the Magnesium frame but the Shimano Scorpion is Salt approved as well as the Abu ALC BF7. Both have audible drags and cast light baits well, the Abu spool is a little light...

Re: Daiwa TDZ 100ML Value

If it's mechanically sound, I wouldnt go over $180, or $200 if the original box and accesories are included. I have no way of telling how it is internally because I'm purchasing it online but he "says" he only used it 1 time and from the look of the pics it definitely appears it hasn't been used mu...

Re: Micro bass jig BFS rod

This. I hope. I gave up the Volkey 68L in favor of the MS-X 65L. It's lighter, more crisp, more sensitive, and better balanced. Should get a LOT of use in the coming year. https://i.postimg.cc/Fzfx5XjQ/20190208-223721-HDR.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/brjK5MHv/20190205-215016.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/nr...

Re: LOOKING FOR Below 4oz Bass Casting Rod

http://www.tackletour.com/reviewphenixFTX71MH.html Phenix Feather 7'1 MH is what your looking for. Under $200, weighs 3.2 oz on my scale, good balance. It's rated MH but it's actually medium. Ya beat me to it. It was the first rod I thought of when reading what the OP was looking for. Not only unde...

Re: LOOKING FOR Below 4oz Bass Casting Rod

Edward78, I had offered to weigh some rods when I got back to work today. Well I did weigh some and made some notes. That piece of paper is now in the washing machine along with the shirt I wore today. Sorry. I am going to try to summarize things as best as I can remember. I'm 65 so no guarantees a...

How does the reel perform for 1/8oz lures? I am wondering if the reel would make sense on my 852NRX and 8-10 pound line.

Thanks.
!/8 is pretty dam light but I think on the right rod it would do well, What are you wanting to cast that only weighs 1/8oz ?

I’m going to change out to cork as well. Those big Eva “power knobs” are just ridiculous and takes away from an awesome reel and makes it look like a KastKing or something.

Re: LOOKING FOR Below 4oz Bass Casting Rod

Well I have not weighted one but the Shimano SLX is a light rod and lists for $100. St. Croix has the Bass-X at $100 also but for me the Avid is a much better rod at $200 MSRP. I do not know the weights on any of them but if you have not decided by Tuesday I could weight them for you. TFO has some ...
