Yeah Ive been out there in about 4 foot whitecaps and howling wind trying to catch them. Sometimes it works but most of the time not much fun.

Re: Pflueger Patriarch spinning reel

The way I look at it is I have never seen a group of people more "enthusiast" than Cal and the guys at TT so if they like it how bad could it possibly be.

Re: Close to death?

I could almost write a book on the crap thats happened to me on a boat. When I was a teenager my moron brother in law had a skeeter from like the 70's or something. I didnt know any better at the time but we were WAY overweight. We had, get this, me, my parents, my sister and her husband, and my nep...

I've just used them on a football head in clear water. I have the kanami brand they have good action. I just slowly drag them across the bottom.

Re: Jerkbait/Hardbait Storage

Are the jerbait boxes the Shimano brand that they already talked about in this post or are they another brand ? Those look perfect for 110s.

Re: The Abu Villain Rods

I certainly have not heard glowing reports on Verdict rods although I have never held one. Up here in Canada we seldom see any of these offerings including most of the Rapala Canadian Domestic Market rods covered here on TT... AND I live in Toronto, Canada's largest city. Could the new Villan rods ...

Re: Twin Spins?

I have never used them but Hart tackle makes a twin arm spinnerbait with one arm below the other instead of side by side.

Re: how do you rig roboworm straight tail worms?

I use them either on a shaky head or mostly drop shot. I rig wacky most of the time but when I nose hook them I bring the hook out the front of the worm instead of the top. With the wacky rig you get less line twist. I watched some videos on YouTube with Aaron Martens before I even tried drop shot y...

Re: Jig Storage Box

How many jigs can you fit into that 3700? QNT A lot :big grin: I don't know for sure how many I have but you can fit 3 maybe 4 if the're finnesse jigs. I put jigs together if there the same color and weight. I think a 3700 you can make up to 19 (?) compartments so 3 in each would be 57 jigs per box.

I just use the plain Jane Plano 3700. Nothing fancy but it works fine for me.

Re: How is the Norman deep little n?

I have a lot of deep little n and middle n cranks. Normans are my favorite. I have done great with them. I've caught largemouth, smallmouth, pike, walleye, large perch, basically everything that swims up here. My best colors have been sour grape and the shad colors. I can't remember the names but whi...

Re: Owner jig rig....more plastic fun!

Just tie an EWG hook on a drop-shot with a very short leader. Done. I looked at them @ LBF tonight and decided for $6 I'd rig my own. I was really looking to try these but after looking them over I'm with you. I think I will just make my own with a EWG an owner hyper wire split ring and some ...

Re: looking for a quality popper

As far as colors go I don't think the color is as important as say with jerbaits. Whenever I buy any top water I always start out buying black and white and/or bone. After that I get a ghost/clear and a bluegill or perch color. Most of the time though I catch most of them on either black or white.
